Full Job Description
Position Overview:

The Procurement Manager strategically sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services to ensure a company receives quality products at the time required and with best value. Oversee purchasing staff, collaborate with internal departments to understand needs, and work to improve overall procurement efficiency and effectiveness

Key Job Duties:
  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies and policies to align with organizational goals
  • Identifying, vetting, and maintaining strong, cost-effective relationships with suppliers, including negotiating contracts and terms.
  • Prepare reports to customers (internal and external) on a regular basis, including expected deliveries and shortages
  • Support leadership team on ensuring working capital targets are met;
  • Implementing risk management procedures to address potential supply chain disruptions and ensure business continuity
  • Maintain ASL - Approved Supplier List providing qualification requirements to suppliers in all Tiers I, II and III;
  • Creates and provide training to purchasing team on tools and procedures
  • Actively participate and contribute on projects to improve current systems in use (Ex. Sage, ScanForce, DWT Portal, QCBD)
  • Supports Quality and Engineering on comprehensive analysis for critical components, eliminating and reducing risk with failure modes
  • Routinely demonstrate ability to converge solutions in a commercially viable amount of time in the absence of extensive guidance;
  • Collaborate with Engineering to support insource activities;
  • Approving purchase orders, ensuring technical flow downs are cascaded to partners;
  • Must understand and comply to DWT security, safety and company policies.

Experience/Skills Requirements:
  • 5-7 years' experience in supply chain related functions, suppliers' control and development
  • Ability to negotiate favorable terms and contracts with suppliers
  • Skills in selecting and managing suppliers to ensure quality and reliability.

  • Ability to analyze data, track metrics, and perform cost analyses to drive improvements

  • Essential concepts and strategies related to demand management, procurement and supplier relations, material requirements planning, capacity evaluation, sales and operations planning, master scheduling, performance measurements, quality control and continuous improvement

Physical Requirements:
  • This job requires extensive sitting, standing and walking throughout the workday
  • Lifting and moving materials

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline field required
