We are currently seeking a Procurement Domain SME to join our team in Dallas, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

Role Overview

We are seeking a Procurement Domain SME with strong industry experience in corporate procurement functions who can lead client-facing conversations and translate procurement challenges into scalable consulting, technology, and AI-led solutions.

This role will focus on supporting client discovery, solution design, and Agentic AI-driven procurement transformation, particularly across Source-to-Contract and Procure-to-Pay (S2P / P2P) processes. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to shape integrated solutions aligned to enterprise AI platforms and business outcomes.

The ideal candidate is a procurement professional who has deep, hands-on experience within a corporate procurement or sourcing organization and can now apply that experience in a consulting and client advisory capacity.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement Domain Leadership
  • Serve as the procurement domain SME across client conversations, workshops, and solutioning activities
  • Bring hands-on experience across end-to-end procurement processes, including:
    • Source-to-Contract (S2C)
    • Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
    • Supplier onboarding and management
    • Contracting and compliance
    • Purchasing, invoicing, and payments
  • Identify procurement pain points, process inefficiencies, policy gaps, and transformation opportunities


2. Client Advisory & Workshop Facilitation
  • Lead procurement discovery workshops to:
    • Understand current-state processes and systems
    • Identify pain points, constraints, and opportunities
    • Define transformation priorities and use cases
  • Engage directly with client stakeholders including:
    • Chief Procurement Officers (CPOs)
    • Category Managers and Sourcing Leaders
    • Procurement Operations and Shared Services teams
    • Finance and IT stakeholders
  • Translate client challenges into structured solution inputs and priorities


3. AI & Automation Use Case Development
  • Identify and define AI and automation opportunities across procurement processes, including:
    • Guided buying and requisitioning
    • Supplier evaluation and risk scoring
    • Contract intelligence and compliance monitoring
    • Invoice exception handling
    • Spend analytics and insights generation
  • Define:
    • Human-in-the-loop decision frameworks
    • Governance, auditability, and compliance controls
    • Measurable business outcomes and KPIs
  • Work with AI and data teams to shape agentic workflows and solution concepts


4. Solutioning & Proposal Support
  • Support solution and pursuit teams by:
    • Defining business process requirements and workflows
    • Contributing to solution design and storytelling
    • Supporting development of proposals, presentations, and client deliverables
  • Ensure procurement solutions align with:
    • Existing systems (e.g., ERP, supplier platforms)
    • Organizational policies and governance requirements


5. Data & System Landscape Assessment
  • Assess procurement data and system landscape, including:
    • ERP platforms and procurement tools
    • Supplier data and master data quality
    • Reporting and analytics capabilities
  • Identify constraints and gaps impacting:
    • Automation feasibility
    • AI use case effectiveness
    • Process standardization


6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with:
    • Finance SME (for P2P and working capital alignment)
    • Supply Chain SME (for end-to-end planning integration)
    • Data, AI, and technology teams
  • Contribute to development of integrated, cross-functional solutions across procurement, finance, and supply chain


7. Value Realization & KPI Support
  • Support identification and articulation of procurement value drivers, including:
    • Cost reduction and savings opportunities
    • Cycle time improvements
    • Compliance and risk reduction
    • Supplier performance improvements
  • Help define measurable KPIs and expected business outcomes for transformation initiatives


Required Industry Experience

The ideal candidate should have prior experience working within a corporate procurement or sourcing organization, in roles such as:
  • Strategic Sourcing / Category Management
  • Procurement Operations
  • Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
  • Supplier Management
  • Procurement Shared Services
  • Procurement Transformation or Digital Procurement

Qualifications

Required

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $120,000-220,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.

This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
