Job DescriptionBAE Systems Phoenix is currently seeking an eager, talented, and motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join our team as a Sr. Procurement Analyst. This position plays a key role in supporting procurement and supply chain operations through advanced procurement analysis, supplier management, strategic sourcing, cost analysis, and process improvement.
The Sr. Procurement Analyst will analyze procurement data, evaluate supplier performance and capabilities, support sourcing and negotiation activities, and develop data-driven recommendations that improve cost, quality, delivery, and overall supplier performance.
As a subject-matter resource within Procurement, the Sr. Procurement Analyst will closely with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Operations, Finance, Contracts, and Program Management to resolve supplier challenges, mitigate supply risks, improve procurement processes, and support overall business and program objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and issue RFQs to qualified suppliers; review, analyze, and compare supplier quotations to evaluate pricing, lead time, capacity, quality, and overall best value opportunities
• Award and manage procurements across various commodities
• Collaborate with Buyers and Procurement Managers to meet goals in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
• Review and analyze open purchase orders to identify delays or risks; expedite as necessary
• Interface with suppliers to provide status updates and ensure on-time delivery
• Work directly with suppliers to troubleshoot and resolve receiving or invoicing issues
• Enter and maintain procurement documentation in the ERP system
• Facilitate onboarding of new suppliers
• Review, analyze, and report procurement related data within ERP and Excel
• Perform price analysis and develop source justifications for all procurements
• Assist with close out of projects once complete to ensure no remaining open POs
• Ensure purchase order documentation is complete, accurate, and fully aligned with compliance requirements
• Support process improvement initiatives
Required Skills and Education- Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience
- Previous Supply Chain experience
- Experience with procurements subject to FAR/DFARS regulations.
- Ability to support a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Ability to remain motivated and meet program objectives
- Intermediate analytical skills
- Good communication skills
- Experience in MS Office
- Self directed in the placement of purchase orders.
Preferred Skills and Education- Desire for continuous improvement
- Familiarity with Oracle purchasing system
- Technical Background (ability to read drawings)
- 6+ years' experience in operations, supply chain, procurement.
- Professional Supply Chain Certification: C.S.C.P., C.P.I.M., C.P.M., C.P.S.M., P.M.P.
