Full Job Description
NextGen Federal Systems is seeking a Procurement Analyst to work with us supporting our DHS customer in Washington, DC. The Procurement Analyst provides strategic and operational procurement support for the Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) Program. This position oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of procurement actions in accordance with federal acquisition regulations. The Procurement Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring compliance, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery of contract requirements in support of the mission.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist procurement planning activities, including development of Statements of Work (SOW), IGCEs, and acquisition strategies.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of procurement documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with FAR and DHS policies.
  • Work with contracting officers and program stakeholders to support timely and effective contract awards.
  • Assist with procurement status reports, risk assessments, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Ensure cost efficiency through market research, vendor competition, and contract optimization.


Required Education, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in acquisition, supply chain management, or a closely related
  • discipline.
  • Master's preferred
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in the following:
  • In-depth understanding of federal procurement regulations and practices.
  • Experience with DHS or DoD acquisition environments.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex procurement actions under tight timelines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Positive adjudication from a CBP Background Investigation.
  • Position requires some travel.
