Job Title: Process Technologist
Salary Range: CAD$87,995- CAD$105,594
Working Type: On-Site
To support the Operations team indelivering new product development (NPD) and existing product development (EPD)projects by assisting with factory trials, pre-productions, reporting, datacollection, and customer visit preparations. Collaborate across departments,particularly Product Development, to develop cost-effective productionprocesses and provide hands-on support to ensure successful product launchesand operational excellence.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Scope covers all NPD and EPD projects across all categories.
Work alongside the Product Development team on new briefs and concepts to ensure they are viable for factory scale up.
Support running factory trials and ensure trial data is accurately recorded.
Collecting data for costing updates, QAS creation, production process flows.
Maintain accurate product files with handover, trial reports, trial data, photos, shelf life, nutritional certificates and any other info deemed necessary for that project, ensuring full traceability.
Creation of factory process flows and any other relevant SOP's.
Creating QAS documents and setting up tasting to get sign off, seeking input from Product Development, Quality and Operations teams where necessary.
Support Quality team to complete product specification.
Present to internal and external customers as appropriate.
Establish effective working relationships with the customer, suppliers and all internal departments.
Good working knowledge of all plant machinery, capabilities and programmable information.
Project work and new machine commissioning trials.
KEY EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
A food qualification such as Diploma or Degree level desirable and/or extensive relevant operations experience.
At least 2 years relevant experience in the chilled food industry.
Be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to different retailer processes and systems.
Must be able to manage and work to deadlines.
Good level of competence with Microsoft Excel (e.g., graphs, formulas, data conditional formatting, pivot tables), Word, and PowerPoint as well as Outlook and Teams.
Experience of customer critical paths and timelines
Must be able to be flexible about working hours including early late and weekend work when required.
Full/clean driving licence is essential with the ability to travel.
Confident and effective communicator, experienced in meeting with customers.
Ability to influence without authority.
