Position OverviewThe Process Optimization Analyst drives operational excellence across Capitol Aggregates' plant network through advanced process analysis, performance evaluation, and cross-functional collaboration. This role combines strong analytical expertise with field-based operational understanding to identify inefficiencies, lead improvement initiatives, and support long-term strategies that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve operational consistency across multiple sites.
What You'll Do- Lead comprehensive process assessments across multiple plant sites to identify inefficiencies, downtime drivers, and optimization opportunities.
- Develop and support strategic improvement roadmaps aligned with operational goals and business objectives.
- Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives from concept through implementation and post-implementation evaluation.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for operational data, process modeling, and analytical tools.
- Build and maintain dashboards and performance metrics to track operational results and identify performance gaps.
- Perform root cause analysis of operational issues and recommend corrective actions in collaboration with operations and maintenance teams.
- Evaluate best practices across sites and support standardization of processes and operational discipline.
- Support capital project evaluations through technical analysis, scenario modeling, and post-investment performance reviews.
- Engage regularly with plant managers, supervisors, and corporate teams to share findings and align improvement efforts.
- Promote continuous improvement principles and support a culture of operational excellence.

What You'll BringRequired Skills and Abilities- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data modeling, and ERP systems such as SAP.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data sets.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to operational and executive audiences.
- Experience with process mapping tools and statistical or analytical software.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and improvement initiatives.
- High degree of initiative, accountability, and business acumen.
- Familiarity with mechanical and process systems used in aggregate production environments.
Education & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or Business Analytics required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in process improvement, operations optimization, or performance analytics required.
- Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in aggregates, mining, or heavy industrial environments preferred.
- Prior experience supporting multi-site operations or corporate operations functions preferred.

- Highly self-directed with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Strong facilitation skills to lead discussions with site leadership and executive teams.
