Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Materials Science, or related field with 3-5 years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma/GED with 6-8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in steel manufacturing, heavy industrial, or process manufacturing environments.
• Strong working knowledge of steel manufacturing methods and techniques with heavy mill machinery.
• Experience in scrap processing, melting, casting, rolling, maintenance, and shipping operations.
• Ability to train and motivate employees while serving as a coach.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain goal and project databases; perform trend analyses and identify data commonalities.
• Contribute to department goal-setting and achievement.
• Facilitate training sessions on improvement methodologies and practices for all employees.
• Develop and coach employees in Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Collaborate with Routine Managers on Gerdau processes and 5S initiatives.
• Identify and resolve chronic problems and reduce process variation.
• Assist in developing the Annual Action Plan and ensuring compliance with established policies.
• Implement and oversee CAPEX and improvement projects.
