Florence, SC | Onsite (5 Days/Week)Relocation Assistance Available

We are hiring three Process Engineers to support a major new product launch at our Florence, South Carolina manufacturing facility. While all three positions share a common foundation in manufacturing process engineering, each role supports a different manufacturing area:

-Machining & Winding
-Magnet Assembly
-Cryostat & Helium Vessel Manufacturing

In these roles, you will partner with production, quality, and engineering teams to support manufacturing operations, improve processes, troubleshoot production challenges, and help scale innovative new products into production.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on technology that directly impacts patients around the world while gaining exposure to advanced manufacturing processes in a highly collaborative environment.

Job Description
What You'll Do

As a Process Engineer, you will:
  • Define, develop, and support manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process controls, and standard work.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing, assembly, and testing issues to improve quality, productivity, and process reliability.
  • Support the introduction of new products, technologies, and manufacturing methods.
  • Partner closely with production teams, quality engineers, supervisors, and fellow engineers to solve technical challenges.
  • Analyze process performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Validate manufacturing processes and ensure compliance with product and process requirements.
  • Communicate technical information clearly and effectively across teams.
  • Support a culture of safety, quality, collaboration, and operational excellence.

Process Engineering Focus Areas

We are hiring for three distinct manufacturing areas. Candidates are not expected to have experience in all areas.

Process Engineer - Machining & Winding

This role supports manufacturing processes related to machining operations and specialized winding processes used in MRI production.

Preferred experience:
  • CNC or NC machining
  • Fiberglass or filament-wound composite materials
  • Manufacturing process development and troubleshooting
  • Tooling or fixture development

Process Engineer - Magnet Assembly

This role supports assembly processes used in the production of MRI magnet systems and associated components.

Preferred experience:
  • Soldering, joining, or assembly processes
  • Electrical or electromechanical manufacturing environments
  • Solid-state electrical components
  • Manufacturing process improvement and quality initiatives

Process Engineer - Cryostat & Helium Vessel Manufacturing

This role supports fabrication and assembly processes used to manufacture large welded structures and cryogenic vessel systems.

Preferred experience:
  • Welding processes
  • Steel and/or aluminum fabrication
  • Tanks, pressure vessels, or large welded assemblies
  • Fabrication and manufacturing process optimization


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, or another related technical discipline from an accredited university or college.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, production, engineering, or process improvement activities through professional work experience, internships, cooperative education programs, research, or academic projects.
  • Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and implement practical solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting production processes, equipment, tooling, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or problem-solving methodologies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Experience supporting new product introductions or manufacturing process development.
