Purpose:You will provide process engineering services and leadership projects to Worley' and its customers, including technical support and supervision within the process engineering team.
Responsibilities:- Executes defined scope independently with limited supervision.
- Demonstrates solid capability in relief and process safety fundamentals.
- Perform overpressure protection evaluations across process units, including identification of credible scenarios and relief loads.
- Execute PSV sizing, relief hydraulics, and flare/vent system analysis using approved methodologies and tools.
- Support flare network and backpressure assessments, including blowdown and relief header evaluations.
- Develop relief mitigation strategies to address system deficiencies and improve operability and safety.
- Produces high-quality, auditable engineering deliverables.
- Effectively collaborates across disciplines and supports client interactions.
- Keep up to date with the latest developments and technical innovations in process engineering.
- If required, assist, and support junior personnel within the process engineering team.
- Communicate effectively with the process engineering team and project stakeholders, including the Customer.
- Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.
What you will bring Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements: - Expertise in Relief & Flare System Design, Overpressure Risk Analysis & Mitigation, and Process Hazard Analysis.
- Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its customers.
- Excellent knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the process engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
- Excellent knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Competent use of process engineering specific software.
- Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
- Substantial technical land practical experience in process engineering in the same or similar industry including experience in working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
- Strong and positive people leadership.
- Advanced knowledge of process simulation packages such as HYSYS and/or PRO/II, iPRSM, PSPPM, Flare Network Analyzer and Computational Fluid Dynamics.
- 5+ years of relevant process engineering experience, with demonstrated exposure to pressure relief and process safety systems.
- Working knowledge of relief system design standards and codes (e.g., API 520/521/2000, ASME).
- Experience performing PSV sizing, relief load calculations, and basic flare system evaluations.
- Familiarity with process simulation and relief analysis tools (e.g., HYSYS, PRO/II, Aspen Plus, or equivalent; relief tools such as IPRSM, Aspen PIMS/PSPPM/Flare or similar).
- Experience supporting HAZOPs, risk assessments, or process safety reviews.
- Ability to develop and review core process deliverables (PFDs, P&IDs, line lists, calculations, datasheets).
- Strong understanding of process fundamentals (thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer) applied to safe plant design.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to coordinate across disciplines and interface with clients.

- Salary Range $110,507-$162,510.

Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training: Required: - Bachelor's degree or master's degree (preferred) in chemical engineer or related field and or equivalent degree.
Preferred: - Experience in refining, petrochemical, or upstream facilities with complex relief systems.
- Exposure to flare network modeling and backpressure analysis.
- Familiarity with corporate or operator PRD programs and compliance frameworks.
- EIT certification or progress toward Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with brownfield modifications, MOC processes, or debottlenecking studies.
