Downstream Process EngineerII will be an integral member of our downstream process development team. You will use experimentation to optimize Every's production process and then see the results of your changes in action at pilot and commercial-scale biomanufacturing sites. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with laboratory and tech transfer experience, who wants to make an impact at scale.
What you'll Accomplish - Optimize the Every downstream process via an iterative cycle. Improvements are developed in the laboratory, scaled up to an external pilot plant, and learnings are taken back to the lab for further troubleshooting and improvement.
- Perform various unit operations at the Every HQ such as TFF, depth filtration, chromatography, spray drying and other purification/separation processes.
- Develop and review tech transfer documentation to ensure successful scale up trials. Travel to external pilot plants to review the scale up of novel processes.
- Coordinate with third parties such as pilot scale equipment vendors to arrange internal and external trials.
- Partner with Every scientists and engineers to bring their bench ideas to pilot scale.
- Analyze results and report data to enable appropriate interpretation and follow up experiments.
- Proactively communicate information through appropriate verbal and written means and actively participate in meetings.
- Understand and follow department and corporate guidelines, compliance and safety rules and procedures related to duties.

What you Bring:- BS in Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, or a related discipline, with 3 years of industry experience
- Practical experience with and theoretical knowledge of traditional processing unit operations including TFF, depth filtration, continuous centrifugation, chromatography and spray drying.
- Experience with executing tech transfers to external parties such as pilot or CMO facilities.
- Experience leading technical conversations with third parties such as equipment or chemical vendors.
- Eagerness to learn from and collaborate with Every scientists and engineers
- Ability to travel internationally (up to 25%) to support and conduct process development activities at CMOs is required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, across all levels of the organization.

Pay Range: $96,467 - $110,261
