Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Demonstrate deep understanding of complex systems, equipment, and processes to support manufacturing excellence.
- Independently perform technical tasks with precision, ensuring high-quality outcomes and minimal errors.
- Mentor Associate Engineers and Technicians, sharing best practices and technical insights.
- Serve as a subject expert on cGMPs and SOPs, guiding others in compliance and documentation.
- Collaborate multi-functionally to align priorities, define milestones, and coordinate execution.
- Manage small-scale projects or workstreams, ensuring timely delivery and customer alignment.
- Lead basic investigations and implement effective solutions to technical challenges.
- Analyze performance data, identify trends, and apply root cause analysis to drive improvements.
- Build relationships across functions and share knowledge to support team and network success.
- Model a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous learning in alignment with Amgen values.

Basic Qualifications:Master's degree in engineering.
Or
Bachelor's degree in engineering and 2 years of engineering support experience.
Or
Associate's degree in engineering and 6 years of engineering support experience,
Or
High school diploma / GED and 8 years of engineering support experience.
Preferred Qualifications- Educational background in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline.
- Manufacturing supports experience in a regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or GMP environment.
- Experience troubleshooting equipment, process systems, and operational issues in upstream and/or downstream manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge of GMP production, deviation management, change control, CAPA, equipment qualification, process validation, and new product introduction activities.
- Ability to apply engineering principles, data analysis, and problem-solving skills to support process optimization, equipment modifications, and operational improvements.
- Strong collaboration skills with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Validation, Process Development, Utilities, and Facilities organizations.
- Strong organizational, technical writing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Willingness to support non-standard shifts, including nights and weekends, as required by manufacturing operations.
