Job Description:
The Associate Vice President (AVP) of Cancer Services provides executive leadership for the strategy, direction,
growth, and effective operation of John Muir Health's Cancer Services, including the UCSF-John Muir Health
Cancer Network. This newly created role reflects the organization's commitment to cancer as a critical priority
and brings focused leadership to a complex, high-opportunity service line. The AVP is responsible for cancer services across the continuum of care, including infusion, medical oncology, radiation oncology, and affiliated outpatient services. Central to this portfolio is the UCSF-John Muir Health Jean and Ken Hofmann Cancer Center at the Behring Pavilion, the central hub of the Cancer Network. Working in partnership with physicians, operational leaders, and joint-venture stakeholders, the AVP will drive strong
outcomes related to quality, access, growth, and financial stewardship, supported by sound operational and
financial insight. The AVP will bring an enterprise perspective and shape the future direction of one of John Muir Health's most
important service lines.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree - Required
  • Master's degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or a related field - Preferred


Experience
  • Progressive leadership experience in cancer services with a complex health system or integrated delivery network - Required
  • Demonstrated success operating in a multi-site, system-level environment, growing and driving performance across a service line while partnering effectively with physicians and enterprise leaders - Required
  • Deep cancer expertise - Required
  • Exposure to additional major service lines - Preferred

Work Shift:
Exempt Salaried (United States of America)

Pay Range:
$378,700.00 - $567,800.00

Salary

Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.

Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.

Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word 'exempt' on it.
