Full Job Description
Private Jet Advisor - Founders, Technology & Innovation Economy (Bay Area, CA)

Department: Retail Sales

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Los Angeles

Compensation: $300,000 - $1,200,000 / year

Description

This is not a charter sales job.

You know the difference between a Series B and a Series B extension. You know why the Sand Hill Road corridor empties out on Thursday afternoons. You know that the person who actually books the plane is usually a chief of staff, and that the person who decides whether to buy one is usually talking to their tax attorney first.

If you've spent your career inside the Bay Area's innovation economy - selling into it, advising within it, or building alongside it - you already have the thing that cannot be taught, hired around, or bought.

We'll teach you Part 135 aviation.

Why This Role Exists

Silver Air has spent fifteen years building one of the most respected boutique platforms in private aviation - our own FAA Part 135 certificate, a managed fleet, Wyvern Wingman PRO certification, and IS-BAO Stage 3 compliance. The highest independent safety ratings in the industry, held simultaneously.

What we have not had is someone who lives inside the ecosystem that has quietly become one of the largest concentrations of private aviation demand in the country.

Not because of any single liquidity event. Because of what the Bay Area actually is: founders whose companies outgrew commercial travel two years ago. General partners flying board meetings across four cities in three days. Executives whose security profile changed the week their product went mainstream. Family offices in Atherton and Woodside managing wealth that was created in the last decade and behaves nothing like inherited money. Chiefs of staff who are the real decision-makers and have never been treated like it.

These people are underserved by the large fractional programs - standardized, inflexible, priced like a commodity - and poorly understood by advisors who show up speaking a language that doesn't land.

You speak it. That's the job.

Why Flight Club Changes Your Economics

Flight Club is Silver Air's invitation-only private jet membership. It is not a jet card, not a fractional share, and not a brokered transaction.

When you enroll a member, you're not closing a deal that resets next month. You're opening a recurring relationship: no upfront cost to the client, no rigid contract, no commodity pricing war, no lock-in. Members stay because the product is better, and because you're the reason they trust it.

Every member you add compounds - recurring flight activity, referrals into their network, and lifetime value that a transaction-based model structurally cannot produce. And in a network as densely interconnected as this one, referrals are not incremental. They're exponential.

You're also not a middleman hoping an operator performs. You're backed by our own certificate, our own fleet, a dedicated Trip Management team, three in-house marketing professionals, a full-service agency, and HubSpot CRM with AI integration.

When your client flies, you own the relationship on a platform that delivers it.

The Territory

The Bay Area doesn't reward volume. It rewards being known.

Where the relationships live: Atherton, Woodside, Hillsborough, Palo Alto, Los Altos Hills, Ross and Belvedere across the bridge, and the Pacific Heights and Presidio Heights corridors in the city. Napa on weekends.

The verticals you'll move through: venture capital and growth equity along the Menlo Park and Palo Alto corridor. Late-stage private technology companies in SoMa and Mission Bay. AI infrastructure and applied AI companies, currently the single most concentrated wealth-creation engine in the country. Semiconductors and hardware across the South Bay. Biotech and life sciences in Mission Bay, South San Francisco, and Emeryville. Crypto and digital assets. Private equity and family offices from Sand Hill to Montgomery Street.

The centers of influence you'll cultivate: wealth advisors and multi-family offices, tax attorneys and estate counsel, private bankers, executive assistants and chiefs of staff, security and executive protection professionals, luxury real estate principals, private club memberships, and the philanthropic and board circles where these people actually spend their time.

Where you'll be present: industry conferences, private dinners, portfolio company events, charity boards, yacht and vineyard gatherings, and the invitation-only rooms where private aviation is discussed as a practical problem rather than a status symbol.

You already know some of these rooms. The rest, you'll earn your way into - which is exactly how this market works.

What You'll Do

Build Your Book
  • Develop relationships with founders, executives, investors, principals, and family offices across the Bay Area's technology and innovation economy - through your existing network, referral channels, and strategic outbound
  • Cultivate centers of influence: wealth advisors, attorneys, private bankers, chiefs of staff, security professionals, and luxury service partners who sit between your prospects and their aviation decisions
  • Represent Flight Club at private events, industry gatherings, charity functions, and lifestyle activations where your clients already are
  • Convert qualified inbound leads generated by our marketing team into enrolled members

Sell the Membership, Not the Flight
  • Lead consultative discovery conversations that uncover travel patterns, security requirements, board and investor cadence, family needs, and time economics - then position Flight Club as the intelligent answer
  • Guide prospects through the Flight Balance funding process with complete transparency - no pressure, no fine print, no surprises
  • Articulate the full value proposition: invitation-only access, tail-specific aircraft selection, Mechanical Recovery Guarantee, curated one-ways, and a luxury lifestyle partner network most clients don't know exists

Own the Relationship
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for every member in your book - responsive, proactive, relationship-first
  • Introduce members to Flight Club's lifestyle partner network - private clubs, villas, yachts, bespoke concierge, exclusive events - before they have to ask
  • Recognize when a member's usage patterns make aircraft acquisition or management economically rational, and bring in Silver Air's ownership team at the right moment
  • Drive referral pipeline through member experience that speaks for itself

Operate Like a Business
  • Manage your HubSpot pipeline with precision - every activity logged, every follow-up timed, every referral source tracked
  • Partner with marketing on campaigns, activations, and member events
  • Contribute to the rollout of Flight Club's member travel program - curated group experiences for members flying together

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • 5+ years in a high-performance sales, advisory, or business development role
  • Genuine fluency in the Bay Area technology and innovation ecosystem - you understand how founders, investors, and executives think, buy, communicate, and refer
  • An existing network of relationships with high-net-worth individuals, executives, investors, family offices, or the advisors who serve them
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Natural consultative selling style - you listen first, pitch second
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication
  • Self-starter comfortable operating without a script
  • CRM proficiency (HubSpot preferred)
  • Bay Area resident with an active presence in the market

Highly Preferred
  • Prior Part 135 aviation, charter, or private jet brokerage experience
  • Background selling complex, high-consideration products into technology or financial services
  • Existing relationships with family offices, wealth management firms, or private banking teams
  • Passion for aviation, travel, and the luxury lifestyle space

Benefits

What You Earn
  • Base salary + uncapped commission - your book grows, your income grows, no ceiling
  • Performance bonuses on Aircraft Management deals (PureJet Management)
  • 5% matching 401(k) / Roth
  • Cell phone allowance

What You're Covered By
  • Fully paid health insurance - for you and your entire family
  • Mental health support
  • Travel insurance + pet insurance
  • Wellness programs and work-life balance initiatives
  • Generous personal development and employee assistance programs
