Full Job Description
The Problems You'll Solve

The Client Partner team is a new team at Carta. We seek a technical private capital industry and accounting expert with exceptional client service and relationship skills to ensure a successful customer experience and journey from late stage sales through go live for our largest and most complex Clients.

As a Private Capital Client Partner, you'll work to:
  • Increase win rates through partnership with Go To Market teams during late stage sales
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of Carta and industry best practices and trends to complete operational and technical discovery and solutioning
  • Serve as the Client's trusted advisor and advocate from late stage sale throughout onboarding and parallel periods to eventual go-live
  • Ensure smooth transitions between all team handoffs with a consistent, trusted expert
  • Partner with R&D and Delivery teams to develop a strategy and process for non-standard items via product or operational model
  • Ensure proper expectation setting and alignment across all internal and external stakeholders
  • Project manage the cross functional conversion process from prior administrator to Carta
  • Create internal governance structures for proper internal status and escalation channels
  • Have clear understanding of customer needs and help them maximize value from the Carta platform/services ensuring strong user engagement
  • Educate the Client "the Carta way" (product demos, recommended banks, etc.)
  • Ensure proper framework to manage net new product feature requests
  • Build deep relationships with external decision makers to enable them to be Carta advocates
The Team You'll Work With

The Client Partner team is a new function reporting to the Head of Fund Administration Strategy designed to support Carta's Upmarket and Private Capital growth.

Using your deep technical, industry expertise and relationship skills, you will own the account strategy, solve problems, and improve customer engagement and loyalty. This role is cross functional requiring development of deep relationships across all areas of Go to Market ("GTM"), Delivery, R&D and the executive team to ensure positive client and business outcomes.
About You
  • 8+ years of Private Capital Accounting and Operational experience
  • Experience with AI tools and workflows; familiarity with Claude or similar LLMs is a plus
  • Prior experience working in Private Capital financial services strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to build and manage new customer account relationships
  • Proven ability to assess, establish and optimize operational and accounting processes and best practices
  • Strong customer relationship skills and demonstrated ability to influence client change and work through difficult conversations
  • Excellent communication, listening, facilitation, and negotiating skills
  • Proactive, action-oriented
  • Strong data analysis, organization, and project management skills
  • Ambitious, detail-oriented and self-starter with a proven track record of delivering results
  • Proactive, self-motivated and persuasive team player with innovative ideas to inspire customer loyalty and adoption
  • Consistent track record of highly-professional interpersonal skills in a fast paced, dynamic environment

Salary

Carta's compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans. Our minimum cash compensation range for this role is:

$167,200.00 - $209,000.00 in Seattle, WA

Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other factors.
