The Role
AspenTech, a global leader in software solutions for optimizing process manufacturing across industries such as oil and gas, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals, is seeking an innovative and skilled Engineer to join our Advanced Process Control and Dynamic Optimization R&D Group in Houston, Texas.

As a Principal Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing and supporting our industry-leading Advanced Process Control (DMC3) and Dynamic Optimization (GDOT) products. This involves leveraging cutting-edge software tools, AI, and advanced modeling and optimization technologies to create solutions that drive digital transformation across industries.

This is a unique opportunity for an exceptional engineer to contribute to the growth of a rapidly expanding product that serves as a cornerstone for industry digitalization.

Your Impact
  • Design, develop, maintain, and support advanced process control and optimization software solutions, continuously improving their functionality and performance.
  • Analyze customer requirements to translate them into new product features, use cases, and applications.
  • Deliver forward-thinking solutions to enrich products, emphasizing ease of deployment and maintenance to maximize customer value.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, assisting in prototyping and evaluating the feasibility of implementing cutting-edge solutions.

What You'll Need
