Full Job Description
AWS Industries (AWSI) PXT is looking for a customer-and employee-obsessed Principal Program Manager who is a self-starter, able to drive results and long-term strategy by providing centralized PM support to AWSI PXT teams. We are seeking an experienced candidate to identify, create, develop, and integrate innovative PXT projects and programs. The Program Manager role is both a strategic and hands-on role that is critical in developing our project initiatives and driving PXT functional excellence and process improvement.

This role will be a part of the AWSI PXT Leadership Team leading and supporting implementations of key PXT programs around employee engagement, business expansion, PXT Workforce Strategies, reporting/analytics, and ad hoc projects as needed. The role will manage a variety of PXT projects, with specific focus on creating efficiencies to reduce duplication of effort across PXT programs, automating/leveraging data and insights for scale, and solving big problems that affect the business outcomes and employee experience. This role includes responsibility for improvements to processes, programs and projects, by representing the interests of AWSI HRBPs and influencing change with central teams. In addition, this position will lead critical PXT cadences, including OP1/OP2 HC planning, strategic planning sessions, cyclical reporting (monthly and quarterly business reviews), goal planning and reporting, and other recurring meetings such as staff meetings. This role offers exceptional leadership visibility and the opportunity to influence global strategy and execution as the Program Manager is expected to organize and partner with HR leadership in the development of short- and long-term strategic plans.

- Can multi-task and handle various projects simultaneously to drive timely results, prioritizing effectively and facilitating action across remote groups

- Has the ability to convey ideas and recommendations in a clear, compelling and succinct way in written and verbal communications across a global audience

- Has the ability to think critically and quickly identify underlying problems needing to be solved, or recognize when and where additional data or context is required to reach a solution

- Has talent for influencing without authority to drive stakeholders, teams and resources toward delivering project goals and impactful results

- Has the ability to earn trust and maintain key relationships with PXT partners to avoid duplication of efforts and to drive global engagement on key initiatives

- Operates with significant autonomy and discretion

Key job responsibilities

- Drive key AWSI PXT operations including goal setting, intake, project identification, project sizing, quarterly planning, project mechanisms/execution, change management, and reporting

- Identify and lead global/regional projects

- Collaborate with central AWS PXT PM office and ensure close alignment on strategic priorities and timely update of AWSI PXT operations

- Serve as advisor and/or additional resource for AWSI PXT projects, in collaboration with AWSI HRBPs and PXT Partner teams (TA, Compensation, ER, Workforce Planning etc.)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience

- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities

- Experience defining and executing program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

- Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

- Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams

- 7+ years of program or project management experience, or 5+ years of years of program or project management experience plus HR experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in talent management, organizational network analysis, and organizational design and development

- Experience managing project delivery

- Demonstrated ability to operate with ambiguity and exercise independent judgment on sensitive/confidential matters

- Familiarity with AI tools and a bias toward operational automation

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
