Key Responsibilities
  • Lead architecture review board reviews and provide architectural guidance for enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Partner with application, infrastructure, security, cloud, and operations teams to evaluate solution designs and technology decisions.
  • Identify architectural, operational, security, and supportability risks and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Consult with project teams throughout the solution lifecycle, from initial design through implementation and operational transition.
  • Develop and maintain technology standards, architectural patterns, and governance processes.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations on adoption and enterprise fit.
  • Review proposed architectures for scalability, reliability, maintainability, and alignment with enterprise objectives.
  • Build strong partnerships with technical and business stakeholders and serve as a trusted advisor on technology decisions.
  • Prepare and present architectural recommendations, readiness assessments, and governance findings to leadership and governance forums.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, engineering, infrastructure, or related technology roles.
  • Experience leading architecture reviews and guiding technical decision-making across diverse technology domains.
  • Strong understanding of application architecture, cloud platforms, integrations, security, infrastructure, and operational support models.
  • Experience working directly with delivery teams, engineering teams, and technology leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decisions and drive consensus across technical and business stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to balance governance requirements with practical delivery needs.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with emerging AI technologies and ability to apply them to real-world challenges


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience participating in or leading architecture review boards or similar governance processes.
  • Experience supporting production readiness, operational readiness, deployment governance, or service transition activities.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, DevOps practices, enterprise integrations, and observability/monitoring solutions.
  • Experience in large, complex enterprise environments, especially healthcare or medical distribution
  • Experience with large-scale distribution, supply chain, logistics, fulfillment, or e-commerce platforms.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, IaC/Terraform
  • Knowledge of IT operational processes including incident, change, problem, and service management.
  • Experience creating technology standards, reference architectures, and architectural guidance.
  • Experience working within regulated or highly governed environments.

McKesson Medical-Surgical (MMS), which is expected to become Wellverse in early 2027, is a subsidiary and publicly reported segment of the McKesson Corporation. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
