About the Role

You'll be working on the cutting edge of Workday's own technology, driving system architecture and influencing how internal enterprise systems operate on a global stage.

As a Principal Technical Architect, you will serve as the primary technical lead across core financial streams (Contract to Cash, Professional Services, and Revenue).

Job Responsibilities:
  • Design, architect, and deploy scalable enterprise Workday Integration and Workday Extend solutions across Workday Finance (Contract to Cash, Professional Services, and Revenue Management) to support Workday's global operations.
  • Serve as the lead technical driver for Agentic AI initiatives, designing autonomous workflows for Purchase Order processing, Collections enhancement, and cash application automation.
  • Architect and implement scalable, automated customer integration patterns for key billing and onboarding processes.
  • Provide high-level technical guidance, evaluate performance bottlenecks, and resolve complex integration and Extend issues requiring in-depth expertise on the Workday platform end-to-end.
  • Deliver dedicated technical governance and architecture support during business hours to ensure system stability and support critical financial milestones.
  • Collaborate with product managers, platform services, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure seamless data flows and robust system integration patterns across enterprise platforms.
  • Stay current with new Workday platform features, integration tools, extend capabilities, and AI innovations, proactively translating them into internal system enhancements.


About You

Basic Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in technical architecture, system design, and enterprise application integrations within financial platforms, including Workday Finance.
  • 10+ years of validated Workday integration and Workday Extend development experience across Financial Management, HR, or Payroll.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience utilizing core integration tools, including EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, Orchestration XSLT, XML, APIs/Web Services, and Authentication protocols.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with SnapLogic / Sanplogic integration platform for enterprise data pipelines and applications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.


Other Qualifications:
  • Deep technical knowledge of enterprise software application development, enterprise application integrations, and Workday Extend architecture.
  • Deep technical knowledge of enterprise software application development and enterprise application integrations (Salesforce, Apttus, MuleSoft/SnapLogic)
  • Workday Financial transactional-level knowledge across Contract to Cash, Record to Report, or Source to Pay streams.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting, optimizing, and resolving complex technical issues on the Workday platform end-to-end.
  • Proven experience leading AI automation initiatives and coordinating cross-functional deliverables.
  • Ability to provide real-time architecture governance and operational coverage.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to analyze and tackle sophisticated problems as well as provide documentation, mentorship and instruction to users. Proven ability to learn and embrace new technologies, applications, and solutions.

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
