Full Job Description
Every day, advertisers and partners worldwide measure the success of their Amazon Ads campaigns through the data Programmatic Reporting delivers: billions of aggregated datapoints that AI agents, machine learning models, and analytics engines around the world now depend on as AI reshapes how advertising is planned and optimized. The Measurement, Ad Tech, and Data Science (MADS) organization at Amazon Ads is looking for a Principal Technical Program Manager to drive the largest, most cross-cutting programs behind that data.

Programmatic Reporting owns Amazon Marketing Stream and the Reporting APIs, the interfaces advertisers and partners worldwide use to consume Amazon Ads measurement data. Behind them sit the pipelines that source, transform, and deliver that data, processing billions of aggregated datapoints on Apache Spark, Apache Iceberg, and AWS. Delivering this data accurately, freshly, and cost-efficiently requires programs that span multiple engineering teams, product management, and partner organizations across several sites and regions.

You take on the programs that don't yet have a shape, where the strategy is still forming, the right sequencing isn't obvious, and what success even looks like has to be defined before anything can be planned. You bring order to that ambiguity across the many engineering, product, science, and partner teams spread over multiple sites and regions, and you build the mechanisms that keep delivery predictable at that scale. The guidance, standards, and operating cadence for how these programs run are yours to shape. You operate with real technical depth: you read the designs, ask the sharp question in an architecture review, and, when the direction is wrong, you challenge the strategy, the architecture, or the way the organization is structured to deliver, and back it with a concrete alternative. You do this as a trusted advisor to the organization's senior leaders: you frame the decision, the tradeoff, and your recommendation for audiences that run from the working team all the way up to the organization's most senior leadership, and you help shape where they invest. And you run programs the way this team builds them: instrumented, automated, agent-assisted. Status, rollups, and dependency tracking largely assemble themselves, freeing your own hours for the judgment calls no tool can make. You influence without authority, and you make the teams around you, and yourself, faster.

Key job responsibilities

- Own end-to-end delivery of the largest, most ambiguous cross-team programs across pipelines, query engines, APIs, and data integration, where the plan has to be created, not just followed.

- Partner with senior and principal engineers, product leaders, and senior leadership to shape strategy and roadmap in ambiguous spaces, defining what the plan should be, not just executing it.

- Build and sequence the program (scope, milestones, success criteria), and drive resolution of risks, blockers, and dependencies before they slip delivery.

- Establish the operating mechanisms, increasingly automated and agent-driven, that keep delivery predictable across sites and regions.

- Advise senior leaders on where to invest and on the org-wide mechanisms and structure needed to deliver at scale.

- Frame decisions and recommendations for audiences from the working team up to the most senior leaders, with a clear point of view and the data behind it.

- Drive technical tradeoffs across data freshness, accuracy, cost, and time-to-market, escalating crisply when alignment is needed.

- Coordinate launches and deprecations of reporting interfaces across engineering, GTM, partner, and solutions-architecture teams.

- Grow the next tier of leaders: mentor TPMs and engineers, raise the bar on delivery practice, and contribute to hiring and promotion decisions.

About the team

The Programmatic Reporting team builds the data interfaces that power how advertisers and partners measure their Amazon Ads outcomes. We own Amazon Marketing Stream and the Reporting APIs, delivering accurate, consistent, and timely data to advertisers and partners worldwide. - Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience

- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
