Offered Position: Principal Tech Program Manager

Job Location: Sunnyvale, California



Position Responsibilities:

Coordinate and manage technical programs that span across multiple cross-functional teams. Lead the program development of large-scale, distributed software applications, systems, platforms, services, or technologies using Object Oriented coding and design (Java, C++, Perl, HTML) throughout the complete software development lifecycle, from design through release. Define program success metrics, establish projects, collect business requirements, and write functional and technical specifications. Drive software development efforts and manage priorities for project/program completion, including software application performance tuning. Act as both builder and operator, balancing speed-to-market and with sustainable mechanisms for the software development lifecycle. Refine processes and define net-new mechanisms, identify risks and propose technical solutions to address them, and wrestle dependencies to predictable outcomes. Create schedules, identify and communicate risks to stakeholders, define risk mitigation strategies, and facilitate appropriate software engineering solutions. Manage cross-functional teams and/or third party-vendors for implementation of project/program requirements.

40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range: $215,379/year to $275,300/year.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Position Requirements:

Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Science, Business Administration or a related field and three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Science, Business Administration or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Must have three years of experience in the following skill(s): (1) managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating new product release schedules from design to release for large-scale software applications; (2) experience with Agile Project management using Scrum, Kanban, or Scrumban ; (3) presenting complex technical information concisely to executives and non-technical leaders; (4) driving roadmap strategy and definition; (5) partnering with product and program management teams; and (6) managing large scale project budgets.#0000
