What you'll achieve

As a Principal Systems Development Engineer, you will design, define and implement complex system requirements for customers and prepare studies and analyses of existing systems.

Responsibilities

You will:
  • Lead end-to-end system solution design and delivery, collaborating across cross-functional teams to meet customer and business requirements
  • Evaluate customer requests, identify technical challenges, and develop innovative, cost-effective solutions for system performance and reliability
  • Design, develop, and implement testing, troubleshooting, validation, and diagnostic automation processes, including scripts, configurations, specifications, and procedures
  • Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues, review designs, implement customizations, and ensure successful product delivery
  • Provide technical leadership through documentation, reporting, mentoring system engineers, and supporting sustaining and factory teams in delivering high-quality products

Essential Requirements
  • 8+ years of related experience with a bachelor's degree or 6+ years with a master's degree
  • Advanced understanding of server system architectures
  • Solid understanding of PCIe, storage and network protocols
  • Deep knowledge of hardware and software interactions, and ability to apply this understanding to resolve issues
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively to technical audiences and senior management


Desirable Requirements
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to guide, motivate, and influence cross-functional teams, driving collaboration and achieving business and technical objectives
  • Strong technical expertise in Python and/or C/C++ programming, with advanced experience in Linux operating systems, shell scripting, and system-level development
