Job Description

The Quality Engineer works closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Product Development teams to identify risks, implement quality controls, and drive improvements that enhance product performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Manufacturing Quality Support

  • Develop and maintain quality plans, inspection criteria, and process control documentation.
  • Analyze process and product quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Support process validation and qualification activities

Problem Solving & Corrective Actions
  • Lead root cause investigations using structured methodologies.
  • Facilitate implementation and verification of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Support containment activities for quality escapes and non-conformances.
  • Drive resolution of recurring quality issues.

Supplier Quality
  • Support supplier qualification and performance monitoring activities.
  • Review supplier quality metrics and assist with supplier corrective actions.
  • Participate in supplier audits and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Work with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to address supplier-related quality concerns.

Incoming & Outgoing Quality Control
  • Support IQC activities to ensure incoming materials meet specifications.
  • Support OQC inspections and product release processes.
  • Analyze inspection data and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Ensure inspection procedures remain current and effective.

Continuous Improvement
  • Participate in Lean and Six Sigma projects.
  • Conduct statistical analysis and process capability studies.
  • Assist in reducing defects, scrap, rework, and overall quality costs.
  • Support implementation of best practices and standard work.

New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Support PFMEA, Control Plan development, and risk assessments.
  • Participate in design reviews and manufacturability assessments.
  • Assist with product validation and launch readiness activities.

Customer Quality
  • Support customer complaint investigations and corrective actions.
  • Analyze warranty and field return data.
  • Assist in preparation for customer audits and quality reviews.


Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing quality engineering.
  • Experience in electronics, hardware, high-tech manufacturing, or related industries.

Technical Skills
  • Working knowledge of:
    • SPC
    • FMEA
    • MSA
    • DOE
    • Control Plans
    • Root Cause Analysis
    • CAPA
    • Statistical analysis tools
  • Experience with quality management systems and manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and process documentation.

PreferredCertifications:
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Qualifications

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $102,300 to $209,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
