  • Prepare as-built drawings and detail new components based on previous designs.
  • Engage with a global integrated delivery team (GID) for project support.

Full Job Description
Purpose:

Perform civil/structural design work from conceptual design to detailed design of onshore manufacturing projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare civil/structural design 2D drawings and 3D models based on engineering information, site data and customer requirements for:
    • Civil/structural general arrangement.
    • Structural pipe supports, pipe racks, platforms, building and equipment supports, lift arrangements, paving/grading, underground pipe, foundations, etc.
  • Prepare structural Material Take-offs.
  • Provide technical support to the project team.
  • Determines technical issues, defines alternate solutions, establishes pros/cons for multiple solutions, and makes recommendations to support official project documents such as technical queries, technical deviations, etc.
  • Coordinate with structural engineering team and gather information from other disciplines, with knowledge of the impact of other disciplines design data on structural design.
  • Seeks input from knowledgeable sources, considers safety, constructability, operability, and maintainability into design.
  • Other responsibilities include preparing as-built drawings, design and detailing new components from previous designs.
  • Work with global integrated delivery team (GID).

Minimum Tasks
  • 3D Model
    • Create 3D model to Client Specifications.
    • Ensure objects are placed in correct hierarchy.
    • Ensure all attributes are set.
    • Complete Modeling Checklists.
    • Run Clash Check and resolve all clashes before submitting check prints.
    • Run MTO/Weight reports for Structures in an area.
  • Develop 2D Drawings
    • Develop all necessary drawings and details to ensure complete fabrication.
    • Complete Checklists.
    • Ensure drawings incorporate all engineering review comments.
    • Ensure drawings incorporate all Client review comments.
    • Ensure all drawing attributes are set.


What you will bring
Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:
  • Strong working knowledge of PDMS/E3D and AutoCAD - Minimum 5 years' experience.
  • CADWorx experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry standard practices for the control, development, and application of deliverables.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with other designers and engineers to achieve an optimal drawing product.
  • Successful candidates will be self-starters with an aptitude for problem solving and innovation and the ability to work independently or as a member of a team. They must be capable of working with a team on a large project.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TWIC card and pass background checks.

Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:
  • A diploma in Engineering design and drafting or equivalent.

Preferred:
  • Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States.
