The
Principal Software Architect will play a strategic technical leadership role within Hypertec HPC & AI.
This position will lead the technical architecture and initial development of Hypertec's next-generation HPC & AI Cluster Management Platform, establish a software foundation while leveraging modern cloud-native technologies and AI infrastructure management principles.
The successful candidate will initially serve as a senior technical individual contributor, driving architectural decisions, engineering best practices, and process improvements that enable Hypertec to scale and accelerate product innovation.
Working closely with internal engineering teams, product management, strategic technology partners, suppliers, and key customers, this individual will translate technical requirements into a modular software platform that supports Hypertec's HPC & AI services.
What You'll Be Contributing:- Define the overall software architecture for Hypertec's HPC & AI Cluster Management Platform in collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Services group to understand market requirements and product priorities.
- Deliver an initial Minimum Viable Product (MVP) while working with technology partners, software vendors, and hardware suppliers to evaluate integration opportunities and emerging technologies.
- Design a modular, scalable, secure, and highly available software architecture capable of managing HPC & AI infrastructure.
- Establish architectural principles, technology standards, software frameworks, and design patterns to support future platform growth.
- Ensure the platform remains extensible APIs to support evolving hardware technologies, AI workloads, and customer requirements.
- Engage with strategic customers to understand operational workflows, deployment models, and industry-specific challenges.
- Translate customer and market needs into scalable software capabilities while maintaining a common platform architecture.
What Sets You Apart:- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 10-15 years of experience developing complex enterprise or infrastructure products.
- Experience developing software for HPC & AI infrastructure, cloud platforms, or similar.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering, software architecture, and hardware/software integration.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Technical leadership experience in leading and mentoring teams directly.
Preferred Qualifications- HPC Cluster Management, AI Infrastructure Platforms, Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM), Cloud Infrastructure, Enterprise Systems Management, Linux-based Infrastructure, GPU Clusters, Liquid Cooling Infrastructure, Server Management, Infrastructure Automation.
