OverviewThe Principal RF Engineer is an Individual Contributor, with expertise in electrical engineering subjects such as RF, digital and analog design, with extensive experience in engineering and applied research, development, and design of new state-of-the-art ultrahigh power RF communication systems. The opportunity is targeted toward engineers who enjoy working in their areas of expertise in a systems environment as it includes synthesizing multiple electrical elements of product performance, mechanical and software aspects, along with PCB and system requirements.
Responsibilities- Proven ability to design and implement experiments to assist with product research and development, targeting the next generation of products
- Proven proficiency in analyzing data, interpreting results, and developing conclusions
- Prepare research reports, presentations, and publications to communicate findings
- Perform literature searches to stay informed of current developments in the field
- Advanced knowledge of Intellectual Property identification and protection
- Proven ability to lead and mentor junior engineers
- Develop innovative approaches to solve complex problems
- Drive collaboration with other departments, such as Engineering and Marketing, to ensure successful product architecture definition and subsequent development
- Collaborate with Marketing on the assessment of the feasibility of new business opportunities
- Identify customer's technical expectations and communicate to the project team
- Demonstrated experience performing detailed technical analysis and design at the subsystem or system level using tools such as Matlab/Simulink, RF Pathwave, Feko HFSS, Spice, Inventor, etc...
- Participate in professional organizations, conferences, and other activities to stay informed of new developments in the field

- Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business
Qualifications- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar
- 12 or more years of in-depth VLF/LF through X-Band transmitter and receiver design experience
- Extensive knowledge of RF fundamentals, mixed signal design, and various levels of firmware and software programming
- In-depth knowledge of scientific principles and concepts
- Ability to develop and design new experiments, with subsequent data analysis and data interpretation
- Excellent Problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think critically and creatively
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Extensive knowledge of laboratory techniques and instrumentation as well as associated computer applications and software
- Ability to stay current with scientific advancements and literature
- Some travel will be required
- Selected candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance issued by the U.S. Government throughout the course of their employment

The pay range above represents annual base salary only. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations.
Base salary is one component of your total rewards package.
