Principal Professional Services Consultant

Job Description
As a Principal Consultant you will be a senior Sage X3 expert responsible for supporting the delivery of complex implementations and promoting best practices across projects. You will serve as a senior functional leader, working closely with project managers, technical teams, partners and customer stakeholders to ensure solutions remain aligned with business processes, scope and project objectives. The role includes supervising consultants, mentoring teams, and contributing to internal, partner and customer training. The Principal Consultant also participates in pre-sales activities such as feasibility assessments and service estimations. You will play a key role in securing the delivery of strategic projects by providing governance oversight, risk management and delivery guidance. In complex situations, you will act as a trusted advisor between Sage, partners and customers to stabilize projects and ensure successful collaboration. This role ensures that project execution remains aligned with the allocated budget and overall delivery commitments while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
• Stand as a principal consultant and delivery authority for partners and customers in their implementation efforts.
• Mentor partner and ISV in their learning
• Act as a solution expert with partners and customers in red account contexts
• Deliver solutions to critical implementations situations
• Analyze functional feasibility and project impacts, and propose solutions aligned with customer business requirements.
• Recommend functional solution designs and project approaches for complex Sage X3 implementations.
• Deliver quality work on time and within budget
• Qualify and track issues, and support project teams in resolving complex functional issues and unblock critical project situations.
• Participate in estimation of effort for complex projects or changes
• Develop, maintain and optimize the interactions between all the project stakeholders
• Create and share best practice recommendations with customers and partners, ensuring an optimal use of the software
• Deliver partner and customer training on advanced topics
• Ensure customer satisfaction and build strong and positive relationship
• Act as a trusted advisor in complex project situations, helping partners and customers resolve delivery challenges and maintain alignment with best practices.

Requirements:
• 8+ years in external client implementations
• Sage X3 experience is a Must.
• Meticulous written and verbal communication skills.
• English/French bilingual is a strong plus
• Adept at providing training, upskilling, and coaching to global partners.
• Strong sense of urgency
• Excellent collaboration skills working across functional teams.

The compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, education, and experience. For this role, in these locations, the base salary range for new hires is: $115,000 CAD to $135,000 CAD plus bonus.

In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either a bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, commission plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates. The range listed is just one component of the Sage total compensation package.
