Full Job Description
Amazon's supply chain catalog data covers product barcodes, package configuration/hierarchies, quantity, dimensions, and expiration etc. that directly impact operational efficiency across supply chain workflows. Today, catalog data defects create fulfilment challenges that drive hundreds of millions of dollars in operational costs and limit our ability to grow selection. This initiative impacts multiple programs visible to Amazon Senior leadership, reduces operational costs for Selling Partners and Fulfillment Centers while driving revenue growth through expanded selection.

As the single-threaded owner, you will drive end-to-end product strategy for Amazon's supply chain catalog data which covers what "source of truth" means for supply chain catalog, drive the roadmap from supplier data ingestion through fulfillment consumption, and align diverse organizations around a coherent, customer-obsessed strategy. Your scope spans data quality measurement, defect elimination, industry standards adoption, catalog data model evolution, and the development of new Generative AI and Large Language Model-based quality algorithms operating at massive scale. You will bring clarity to deeply complex and ambiguous problems, operating with complete independence to deliver catalog data that is structured, governed, and optimized for operational use. The ideal candidate thrives in high-scale, ambiguous environments and can drive cross-functional alignment across business, and engineering stakeholders to ensure defect-free fulfillment and supply chain operations.

Key job responsibilities

1. Own the product vision and multi-year roadmap for supply chain catalog data. Make smart bets for sustained supply chain operational efficiency and author PR/FAQs that earn leadership buy-in.

2. Drive data quality measurement and defect reduction at scale. Define quality metrics for supply chain catalog data. Build automated mechanisms that make defects visible and reducible.

3. Lead industry standards strategy. Own relationships with standards bodies (e.g., GS1), drive alignment of Amazon requirements with standards bodies, and define how Amazon leverages standards-based supplier data to reduce cost-to-serve.

4. Work backwards from customers to prioritize investments. Use data and operational signals to identify highest-value problems, define success metrics, and hold the roadmap accountable.

5. Influence senior leadership and drive cross-org alignment. Communicate trade-offs clearly, build consensus across competing priorities, and create audit mechanisms for VP-level stakeholders.

6. Partner with engineering and science to ship GenAI-powered solutions. Translate LLM-based validation capabilities into products that improve catalog accuracy and deliver measurable cost savings.

7. Define catalog data model evolution and governance. Ensure supply chain catalog data is structured, complete, and optimized for consumption across procurement and fulfillment workflows.

8. Raise the bar for product management. Mentor PMTs, set standards for working backwards from customers, and demonstrate excellent judgment in escalations.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
