SUMMARY This senior position is responsible for providing specialist knowledge to business and technology leaders identifying the right problems to solve, evaluating solution options, and shaping initiatives before they enter delivery. Playing a key role in ensuring investments are aligned to business outcomes, enterprise priorities, and long-term technology strategy.
ACCOUNTABILITIES - Lead the intake, assessment, and early-stage development of technology-enabled business solutions, partnering with stakeholders to define business needs, desired outcomes, success measures, and implementation approaches.
- Evaluate and recommend solutions involving applications, automation, data, AI, workflow redesign, and enterprise platforms balancing value, risk, feasibility, and complexity.
- Apply product management practices into technology planning, prioritization, roadmap development, and portfolio decision-making to ensure alignment with strategic priorities and measurable outcomes.
- Work with business leaders to ensure initiatives are aligned to measurable outcomes and strategic priorities.
- Support investment decisions through value, risk, feasibility, and complexity analysis.
- Translate complex business needs into actionable solution concepts and facilitate collaboration across business, architecture, engineering, data, security, and delivery teams.
- Improve the quality and readiness of work entering delivery pipelines.
- Help stakeholders understand the trade-offs associated with different solution approaches.
- Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies, including AI, automation, data products, and digital services.
- Support experimentation, prototyping, and discovery activities where additional evidence is required.
- Help balance innovation, risk, sustainability, and enterprise alignment.
- Establish processes, templates, and governance practices for the Solutions Enablement function.
- Contribute to the evolution of BCFSA's technology operating model.
- Provide leadership and mentorship within a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.
- Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business needs into clear opportunities, solution options, and delivery-ready initiatives.
- Experience with product management, solution architecture, technology strategy, digital transformation, portfolio management, or related disciplines.
- Strong understanding of software, applications, automation, data, integration, and emerging technology ecosystems.
- Experience balancing business value, user outcomes, technical feasibility, risk, and cost, across multiple related product and solution lines.
- Proven ability to influence and build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience leading teams, communities of practice, or cross-functional initiatives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS- A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- 10+ years of experience identifying opportunities, defining solutions, and driving technology-enabled business change from concept through implementation in complex environments.
- Demonstrates ability to translate ambiguous business needs into clear opportunities, solution options, and delivery-ready initiatives.
- Experience in, regulatory, financial services, fintech or risk-based industries
- Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and continuously improving product management, business architecture, and solution governance practices that enable consistent delivery of technology products and business outcomes.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled solutions, data products, analytics, and systems workflow automation.
- Experience supporting strategic planning, investment governance, or portfolio management.
