We build the products, platforms, and intelligence that power acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetization across Microsoft's rapidly expanding portfolio of AI experiences. We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to help build and operate the intelligence systems that drive decision-making across our business. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, measurement, analytics, and execution, ensuring leaders and teams have the right data, metrics, insights, and operating rhythms to make informed business decisions.

As a Principal Product Manager, you will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Business Development, Finance, and Legal to define measurement frameworks, establish scalable data pipelines, develop executive reporting and self-service analytics capabilities, and drive a consistent understanding of business performance. You must be comfortable building from first principles, navigating ambiguity, and translating complex data into clear recommendations that shape product and business strategy at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Define and evolve the measurement strategy, key performance indicators, and success frameworks used to evaluate business and product performance.
  • Build intelligence systems that provide visibility into usage patterns, customer segmentation, retention, monetization, and partner success.
  • Lead analyses in partnership with Data Science that uncover constraints, scaling opportunities, marketplace dynamics, and long-term business trends.
  • Create forecasting, reporting, and diagnostics capabilities that improve understanding of inventory health and business performance.
  • Identify emerging opportunities and risks within the existing and emerging product ecosystem through analytical modeling, experimentation, and business performance analysis.
  • Partner with product and ecosystem teams to evaluate the impact of platform investments, pricing strategies, growth initiatives, and partner programs.
  • Partner with Data Science, Engineering, and Product teams to design and implement scalable data pipelines, metrics, and reporting systems.
  • Build executive dashboards, self-service analytics solutions, and diagnostic tooling that improve visibility into business performance and operational health.
  • Lead deep-dive analyses to identify drivers, opportunities, risks, and emerging trends, translating findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Improve data quality, metric governance, and measurement consistency across teams and organizations.
  • Partner with senior leaders to frame business questions, define success criteria, and inform investment and prioritization decisions.
  • Drive alignment across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Finance, and Business Planning teams on business performance narratives and strategic insights.
  • Build lightweight applications, visualizations, and analytical tools where needed to accelerate understanding and decision-making.
