Job Purpose

Developing and executing Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) product strategy in a rapidly evolving automotive and technology landscape requires a highly capable, knowledgeable, and engaged team. The Software-Defined Vehicle Product Planning (SDVPP) Department is responsible for defining and driving Honda's North American SDV product strategy. The team translates customer needs and business objectives into product vision, portfolio investments, and strategic partnerships that enable Honda to deliver proven customer value faster, improve competitiveness, and drive sustainable business growth. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Infotainment Principal Product Planner to lead the strategic direction of Honda's in-vehicle digital experiences. This role requires a broad understanding of infotainment systems, digital services, customer trends, business strategy, and emerging technologies. As the business and product planning lead, you will be responsible for defining product vision, developing business strategies, and driving product planning for infotainment platforms, audio, AI assistants, connected services, and future digital experiences. You will leverage the customer's voice, business acumen, and technical understanding to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, engineering teams, and external partners

Key Accountabilities
• Lead cross-functional planning activities to convert product strategies into executable implementation roadmaps.
• Drive alignment among business, engineering, design, operations, and partner organizations to enable efficient product delivery.
• Establish product requirements, launch strategies, and lifecycle plans that support successful deployment across Honda vehicle programs.
• Facilitate timely decision-making by balancing customer expectations, technical feasibility, program timing, and business objectives.

Market Intelligence & Customer Insight
• Conduct ongoing analysis of customer trends, competitive offerings, emerging technologies, and industry developments related to infotainment and digital vehicle experiences.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction, market competitiveness, and long-term product adoption.
• Provide data-driven insights and strategic guidance to leadership and stakeholders.
• Advocate for the voice of the customer throughout product planning and portfolio prioritization activities

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in product planning, product strategy, business development, strategic partnerships, automotive technology, engineering, consulting, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in automotive infotainment, connected vehicles, digital services, consumer electronics, software-defined vehicles, or a comparable technology-driven product domain.
• Demonstrated experience leading product strategy or business planning from initial concept and business-case development through organizational alignment and implementation planning.
• Experience evaluating customer needs, market trends, competitive offerings, technology developments, and financial considerations to support product and investment decisions.
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives involving business, engineering, design, finance, legal, procurement, operations, and external partners.
• Experience developing business cases, evaluating revenue and cost models, and presenting strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Experience working with global organizations, technology suppliers, content or service providers, and other strategic partners preferred.
