Principal Product Manager

Summary

The Principal Product Manager is responsible for owning a core product area from strategy through outcomes. This is a senior individual contributor role responsible for hands-on product work, with a path to build and lead a team as the area grows. Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, this role operates with significant autonomy and serves as a senior technical leader across product, engineering, and design.

What You'll Do

  • Sets the strategy and roadmap for the assigned product area, with a clear point of view on where it's headed and how it ties back to the business.
  • Leads hands-on product work including discovery, specifications, and product decision-making.
  • Delivers on committed deadlines, working closely with engineering to maintain quality standards.
  • Instruments shipped products, tracks metrics, and owns post-launch results.
  • Translates customer insights into product decisions, applying sound judgment on prioritization and execution.
  • Maintains intuitive user experience in close partnership with design.
  • Owns post-launch product outcomes including go-to-market narrative and enablement materials for Sales, Customer Experience, and Product Marketing teams.
  • Builds strong cross-functional working relationships and communicates effectively at all levels.
  • Presents product strategy, roadmap updates, and performance insights to executive leadership.
  • Participates in a highly compliant environment while assisting to maintain company controls and security within your job role.
  • Assists in maintaining applicable organizational security and compliance controls within your department and role.

Required Skills:

  • At least 10 years in product management, including significant time as a senior, lead, or principal PM who owned a product line end to end.
  • Demonstrated track record of setting clear product direction, aligning teams, driving measurable business outcomes, and delivering complex products on time.
  • Strong data fluency with ability to instrument products, interpret metrics, and own results.
  • Proven experience shipping AI or LLM-powered products, with fluency in AI tools across discovery, prototyping, and analysis, and demonstrated ability to translate proprietary data assets into trusted product value.
  • Enterprise B2B SaaS experience, a strong sense for user experience, and a reputation as a strong cross-functional collaborator across engineering, design, and go-to-market teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Domain experience in HR tech, leave and absence, benefits, or compliance.

Final compensation is determined based on a candidate's relevant experience, skills, education, and geographic location. This position is also eligible for annual bonus.

Compensation: Base salary for this full-time position is $188,000 - $230,000 USD per year.

The pay range for this role is:

179,520 - 224,400 USD per year (US National)
