Full Job Description
About the Opportunity:

SeekrGuard is our AI model evaluation and certification solution that helps organizations test, score, and govern AI models for bias, accuracy, reliability, and mission risk through transparent risk scoring, customizable risk profiles, and audit-ready certification. We're hiring a Principal Product Designer to be the design owner for SeekrGuard, setting its experience vision and owning design end to end. You'll design for a wide range of users: ML engineers and data scientists running evaluations, risk and governance leaders defining model risk frameworks, and the enterprise and government decision-makers who rely on these scores before procurement and deployment. You'll operate with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-moving product org, earning influence through the quality of your judgment and your work as you partner directly with Product and Engineering on the foundational surfaces that make model risk legible and trustworthy.

What You'll Own
  • End-to-end product ownership: Drive SeekrGuard's design from discovery and concept through detailed design, delivery, and iteration.
  • Systems-level UX: Define information architecture, interaction patterns, and reusable UX frameworks across evaluation, scoring, risk profiling, and certification workflows.
  • User discovery & research: Lead discovery with technical and non-technical users; synthesize findings into UX strategy, interaction models, and validated product direction.
  • AI-accelerated design execution: Use AI tools to compress ideation and prototyping loops, moving from concept to interactive, working experience faster while exercising strong design judgment.
  • Design system stewardship: Contribute to and extend the Seekr design system to support new SeekrGuard capabilities and enterprise governance use cases.
  • Cross-functional influence: Earn a strong voice in product direction through the quality of your work, shaping roadmap tradeoffs and technical constraints alongside Product and Engineering and producing the specs and prototypes that enable high-quality implementation.

Required Qualifications:
  • 8 to 12+ years of product design experience on complex SaaS or technical platform products
  • Demonstrated systems-level design skills: complex workflows, information architecture, scalable interaction frameworks
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma, including working within and evolving a shared design system
  • Active, fluent use of AI-assisted design and prototyping tools where you already use them to compress execution, not just experiment
  • Strong product judgment; comfortable operating autonomously in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
  • Able to operate as the sole designer for a product, setting direction and earning alignment through influence and craft
  • Experience leading discovery research such as defining personas, mapping workflows, validating solutions through usability testing
  • Proven track record collaborating with Engineering through implementation, including detailed specs and navigating technical constraints
  • Portfolio showing end-to-end ownership of major product areas, ideally 0-to-1 or early-stage work, with clear problem-solving depth and craft quality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to articulate design decisions and tradeoffs to both technical and executive stakeholders
  • Reside near Austin, TX or Reston, VA and able to work 3 days per week in office

Preferred / differentiating skills (strong plus)
  • Experience designing for technical users such as ML engineers, developers, data scientists, or MLOps practitioners
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts: model evaluation and benchmarking, bias and reliability testing, LLMs, RAG, agents, or MLOps platforms
  • Experience designing platform surfaces such as governance, compliance, access controls, administration, or multi-tenant systems
  • Experience with data visualization, analytics dashboards, or real-time monitoring interfaces
  • Background in high-growth startups or early-stage platform products

Company Benefits:
  • Meaningful Mission & Impact - Work with a deeply talented, collaborative team solving some of the toughest AI challenges that matter.
  • Equity Ownership - RSUs that let you share directly in Seekr's long-term success and growth.
  • Time Off That Respects Real Life - Unlimited PTO plus 14 paid company holidays to truly recharge.
  • Work Your Way - A flexible hybrid work environment with offices in Reston, VA and Austin, TX.
  • Competitive Total Rewards - A role-appropriate compensation structure that supports long-term growth, including base salary, bonuses, or commission plans depending on role.
  • 401(k) with Company Match - Build your future with a retirement plan that includes employer matching.
  • Comprehensive Health & Wellness - Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage starting day one-for you and your family.
  • Parental Leave - Paid parental leave to support employees as they welcome a new child through birth, adoption, or foster placement.
