We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in metallurgy, powder metallurgy, and aerospace design intent to lead our product development initiatives. Candidate will be expected to engage in all aspects of product development including R&D, process development and qualification, production implementation, component substantiation, and supplier development and oversight. The ideal candidate will be an effective problem solver with a proven track record of successful engineering projects and the ability to innovate and implement cutting-edge design solutions.

  • Define design intent and establish specifications to drive engineering excellence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Conduct material selection, failure analysis, and reliability assessments.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in design best practices and metallurgical principles.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE
  • PhD in Materials Science, related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, with a strong focus on metallurgy and powder metallurgy.
