Full Job Description
We are looking to add a PrincipalManufacturing Test Engineer I to our team. If you are great at what you do, enjoy working in a startup environment, and are passionate about developing leading-edge manufacturing processes for high-reliability, high-volume satellites, we would like to hear from you.

In this position, you are responsible for the analysis, and implementation, execution of engineering test plans and procedures. The ideal candidate possesses a strong combination of hardware and software knowledge with proficiencies in test equipment, test architectures, and automation. The successful candidate will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to address company-wide hardware test needs.

Engineers on this team must have working knowledge of overall schematics, operations, manufacturing, testing. Core day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with engineering teams to lead and develop test requirements, mapping requirements to reusable test architectures and procedures, implementing test plans and procedures, and logging and presenting results to key stakeholders. Additional responsibilities include lab and equipment management and guiding key equipment purchase decisions. Evaluate non-conformances to determine root cause and create actionable items and system improvements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • A minimum of 9 years of experience within electronic manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of Flying Probe test plans, procedures, processes
  • Applied experience in test optimization for manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated engineering intuition, critical thinking, and comfort with ambiguity.
  • Experience writing test plans, procedures and providing go/no-go judgment and rationale.
  • Experience in a production environment.


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Test architecture design and development including scripting, test executives, hardware, and measurement abstraction layers.
  • Programming or scripting experience (Python, MATLAB, C/C++, etc.).
  • Proficiency with statistics and metrology.
  • Understanding of RF and mixed-signal hardware (e.g. amplifiers, filters, ADCs/DACs, antennas).
  • Proficiency with Flying Probe concepts, equipment, test deployment.
