Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our Shipping Team as a Principal Logistics Management Analyst based out of our Troy Hill Campus in Elkridge, MD.

This position is On-Site at our Troy Hill site in Elkridge, MD.

What You'll Get to Do:
  • Induct and create deliveries using SAP for outbound material being sold to customers
  • Use a computer system for tracking, logging, verifying, and reporting
  • Follow shipping practices and procedures to verify transportation routes, schedules, and requirements
  • Ensure that DOT & IATA HAZMAT regulations are being adhered to by programs and the shipping department
  • Submit shipping documents and data through WAWF for DCMA inspection and acceptance
  • Submit shipping documents and data through EEMS for export compliance verification and approval
  • Review contracts, purchase orders, and government regulations to ensure requirements are being met
  • Verify quantity, weight, and conformance of materials are correct to stated identifications
  • Generate shipping documents such as commercial/government shippers, labels, and packing lists
  • Coordinate outbound shipments including carrier selection, packaging, and pickup for domestic, international, and HAZMAT shipments
  • Assists in the planning of work going to the floor to be packed
  • Utilize various systems to complete shipping tasks including but not limited to TMS, EEMS, PIEE (WAWF), DCMA eTools, and Ryder
  • Document and report on errors and discrepancies
  • Collect and report on shipping area metrics
  • Assist with the planning of future shipments
  • Work closely with other shipping personnel to coordinate the execution of on-time deliveries
  • Monitor and maintain the shipping areas records and reports including but not limited to real-time status reports, monthly metrics, and inventory


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience in shipping, logistics, and/or contracts; Master's degree with 3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, and/or contracts; 9 years of experience in shipping, logistics, and/or contracts may be considered in lieu of degree requirement
  • Experience understanding and following complex written and verbal instructions
  • Experience standing for long periods of time and navigate a manufacturing area
  • Experience supporting export and international shipments
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Level Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SAP ERP2, WAWF, TMS, EEMS, and/or DCMA eTools
  • Experience with government and military shipments
  • DOT/IATA HAZMAT shipment certification
  • Past data collection and reporting experience
  • DoD contracts experience
  • Active/Current U.S. Government Security Clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,800.00 - $122,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
