Full Job Description
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Logistics Specialist to join our team in Lakehurst, NJ. This position is onsite.

The Logistics Specialist will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to support the Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) Department, providing general Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and supply chain expertise for the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) programs. This role supports ship configuration management, lifecycle logistics, and provisioning analysis to ensure fleet readiness.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Reviewing DoD ILS data, provisioning details, and spare parts availability while conducting diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages (DMSMS) tracking
  • Maintaining comprehensive spreadsheets and tracking databases containing critical vendor data, lead times, end-of-life cycles, and required quantities for lifetime buys
  • Reviewing Bills of Materials (BOM) and participating in critical stakeholder meetings to research, analyze, and manage entries into the ships' Allowance Parts Listings (APL)
  • Supporting APMLs and DAPMLs by execution of assigned lifecycle logistics tasks, process tracking, and budget preparation activities
  • Attending all assigned EMALS, AAG, and ALRE meetings as a logistics subject matter expert to communicate requirements across the military and government chain of command


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with 3+ years of experience in DoD systems lifecycle logistics support; an additional five 5+ years of relevant DOD logistics support for entire life cycle related to DOD systems experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
  • Experience reviewing Bills of Materials (BOM) and Allowance Parts Listings (APL) to identify parts for diminishing supplies analysis and engineering change proposals (ECP)
  • Experience with DoD ILS, provisioning, supply chain management, and configuration management processes and databases
  • Experience working across teams to communicate lifecycle data and track logistics requirements for complex systems


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) programs or Navy logistics automation tools
  • Experience attending Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) events and evaluating ECPs for spare parts candidates
  • Self-starter with excellent people skills able to source alternate vendors and maintain data tracking logs for critical lifetime buys


Clearance Requirements:
  • Must be a US Citizen and possess a current or active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance before starting


Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office and physically navigate aircraft carriers, flight decks, compartments, and stairwells.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations and verbal or email correspondences.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.


The projected compensation range for this position is $63,800.00-$105,400.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
