Job Overview:We are looking for a highly motivated Principal Engineer to build and lead a multi-disciplinary team to work onsite with customers, driving their success in integrating Arm technology.
The position is based in San Jose with significant time spent at customer sites in the Bay Area, as well as overseas.
Job Description:The Principal Engineering Lead will be the primary point of contact for our customers' product engineering teams. Your team will assist the customer from prototyping to volume production, solving intricate, time-critical issues through teamwork and collaboration with the customer, and across Arm's Engineering organization.
Excellent technical communication skill will enable prompt and efficient resolution of issues, and reporting progress and challenges to key senior leadership and management.
Effective interpersonal skills will enable you to coach the team, emphasizing customer success, enabling maximum contribution from all, and of course enjoy great teamwork environment along the way!
You will bring experience of platforms built around complex SoCs, product implementation and a strong interest in deployment challenges for Edge AI applications.
Responsibilities:- Act as primary technical interface between Arm and the customer, building strong, trust-based relationships with senior engineers and leadership
- Lead the timely resolution of complex, system-level issues spanning hardware, software, integration and manufacturing
- Establish and maintain clear reporting and prioritization, providing clear and technically grounded updates to senior management
- Build, mentor, and develop the Customer Engineering team, using experience to help the team with personal development and career progression.
- Use customer driven insights to influence Arms future product roadmap
Required Skills and Experience :- Relevant University degree or equivalent experience, with experience in a senior customer-facing technical role
- Deep system-level understanding of complex SoC-based products
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Experience working with global teams and customers, including exposure to Asia-based manufacturing ecosystems
"Nice To Have":- Experience within the Arm ecosystem or semiconductor/IP industry
- Background in embedded systems, low-power design, or edge/AI-enabled consumer devices

Salary Range: $262,700-$355,400 per year
