The ideal candidate has firsthand experience running DDI infrastructure in complex environments and understands the operational realities of managing critical network services at scale. You will work closely with Engineering, Product Management, Architecture, and Support to shape the evolution of Universal DDI, validate design decisions, and ensure our platform delivers exceptional operational outcomes for customers. As the platform evolves, this role will also help drive the next generation of DDIOps - intelligent, automated operations for DNS, DHCP, and IPAM environments. Be a Contributor - What You'll Do • Provide real-world operational insight into the design and development of Universal DNS, DHCP, and IPAM services • Ensure product capabilities align with how enterprises deploy, automate, secure, and operate DNS, DHCP, and IPAM infrastructure at scale • Participate in architecture and design reviews to validate operability, reliability, automation readiness, and scalability • Act as an internal "Customer Zero" for Universal DDI, validating operational workflows and deployment models before product release • Recreate real-world enterprise environments to test multi-site, hybrid cloud, Active Directory-integrated, and multi-realm DNS/DHCP/IPAM deployments • Validate automation workflows, API integrations, and operational tooling from the perspective of a real operator • Partner with engineering teams to define capabilities that enable AI-assisted and automated DDI operations (DDIOps) • Collaborate with Product Management and Architecture to shape roadmap priorities based on real operational needs • Work with Support and Field Engineering to incorporate lessons learned from real customer deployments • Define best practices for automation, observability, reliability, and lifecycle management of modern DNS, DHCP, and IPAM environments • Validate failure scenarios, scaling behavior, and operational recovery processes Be Prepared - What You Bring • 10 or more years of experience in operating DNS, DHCP, and IPAM infrastructure in enterprise, cloud, or service provider environments • Experience managing large-scale distributed DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) deployments • Experience with Microsoft DNS/DHCP/IPAM, open-source BIND/Kea, or similar DNS/DHCP/IPAM platforms • Experience operating DNS/DHCP/IPAM in Active Directory-integrated, hybrid, or large-scale enterprise environments is a plus • Deep expertise in DNS architecture and operations • Strong understanding of DHCP infrastructure and IP address management workflows • Experience with network automation, APIs, and infrastructure-as-code practices • Familiarity with hybrid cloud networking across AWS, Azure, and GCP • Ability to translate operational challenges into product improvements • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and customer-facing teams • Passion for improving customer experience, reliability, and operational simplicity Be Successful - Your Path First 90 Days: Ramp on Universal DDI and start providing real-world operator feedback on architecture, deployment, and workflows. Six Months: Lead validation of enterprise-scale deployments and influence design for operability, automation, and reliability. One Year: Serve as the domain expert for real-world DDI operations, shaping product direction and operational capabilities. Belong-Your Community Our culture thrives on inclusion, rewarding the bold ideas, curiosity, and creativity that move us forward. In a community where every voice counts, continuous learning is the norm. So, whether you code, create, sell, or care for customers, you'll grow and belong here.
