Full Job Description
About the Opportunity

WeWork is in the middle of a very good story. A comeback that just landed us on TIME's 2026 list of the most influential companies in the world. Join our nimble creative team as we build the next chapter of the WeWork brand, everywhere it shows up: global campaigns, social, paid media, web, events, and the rooms our sales teams walk into.

We are looking for a Principal Designer, Motion to work directly with our Global Creative Director, who leads the brand vision and creative direction. You'll take that vision and bring it to life through motion design. This is a hands-on role within a team that is always crafting something new. If you want to spend most of your week in After Effects and the rest of it shaping ideas worth animating, come talk to us.

A smarter way to work. Frame by frame.

What You'll Do

From Brief to Final Frame
Working from the creative direction set by the Global Creative Director
  • Run your projects from brief to finished video.
  • Craft concepts, storyboards, and style frames from the Creative Director's vision.
  • Bring your own ideas to your projects and to team brainstorms.
  • Present your work to the team and marketing partners.

Animation, Edit, and Finish
This is where most of your week goes
  • Craft every frame, from first sketch to final cut.
  • 2D animation, motion graphics, titles, and design led video for social, paid, web, sales, and events.
  • Edit footage: pacing, color, sound, music, and versions for every format.
  • Shoot your own idea when a project calls for it.
  • Guide external partners so their animation meets our standards.
  • Work with Ops on timing and flag risk early

Craft, Toolkits, and Standards
  • Help build our motion guidelines with the Creative Director: timing, transitions, type, and sound.
  • Craft After Effects and other motion toolkits so the team can version work without starting from zero.
  • Keep clear standards for files, aspect ratios, captions, accessibility, and licensing.

How You Work
  • Spot the opportunity, bring the idea, and move before you are asked.
  • Share new skills and learnings with the team, and help lift our animation and video work.
  • Run creative tests with Performance Marketing, and let the results sharpen the next round.
  • Understand the AI tools that unlock speed, without dropping the craft bar.

About You
  • 8+ years in motion design and video, including ideas that were yours.
  • A reel of strong work you carried from idea to finish. Link and password, please.
  • Deep After Effects and Premiere. Strong Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma.
  • You understand design fundamentals like type, composition, color, and pacing. Your work looks designed, not just animated.
  • Self directed. You take a brief and come back with options.
  • Comfortable presenting and explaining your work.
  • Can shoot your own footage and cut it well.

Bonus Points
  • B2B experience. Real estate, hospitality, or professional services.
  • Versioning work for different markets and languages.
  • 3D or compositing, though not a big part of what we make today.
