About The Job You're Considering

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Sales Principal to support enterprise and strategic customers throughout the pre-sales lifecycle. This individual will be capable to serve as a trusted technical advisor to CISOs and senior security leaders and be able to translate complex cybersecurity challenges into well-architected, business-aligned solutions. The role requires broad cybersecurity domain knowledge, strong architectural expertise, confidence in 1-2 market industries, and the ability to lead technical responses to RFPs and complex proposals.

Your Role

  • Grow the business through farming (e.g., connect with >100 existing clients / brownfield) and hunting (e.g., pursue new logos / greenfield)

1.Engage directly with CISOs, Deputy CISOs, and senior security leaders to understand business objectives, risk tolerance, and cybersecurity maturity

2.Lead strategic discussions across multiple cybersecurity towers, including (but not limited to):
      • Network & Cloud Security
      • Identity & Access Management (IAM)
      • Endpoint & Zero Trust
      • Security Operations (SIEM, SOAR, XDR)
      • Application Security & DevSecOps
      • Data Security & Privacy
      • Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)

3.Translate technical capabilities into business outcomes, risk reduction, and ROI narratives

4. Position solutions within broader enterprise security strategies and operating models

5. Support account teams throughout the sales cycle, from discovery through close
      • Deliver compelling presentations, workshops, and whiteboarding sessions
      • Assist with proof-of-concepts (POCs) and technical validations when required
      • Maintain strong competitive awareness and positioning


  • Support Solution Design, RFI / RFP Solutioning / Technical Response Leadership

1.Design end-to-end cybersecurity architectures that integrate people, process, and technology

2.Map customer requirements to reference architectures, target-state designs, and roadmaps

3.Evaluate and articulate trade-offs between tools, platforms, and architectural approaches

4.Align solutions with industry frameworks and standards (e.g., Zero Trust, NIST, ISO, MITRE ATT&CK)

5.Partner with product, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure feasibility and scalability
        • Lead or significantly contribute to RFP/RFI/RFQ responses, including: a) Technical narratives; b) Architecture diagrams, c) Security controls mapping
        • Assumptions, risks, and d) dependencies

6.Tailor responses to customer-specific requirements, compliance needs, and evaluation criteria

7.Collaborate with sales, legal, delivery, and pricing teams to produce high-quality, on-time submissions

8.Present and defend proposed solutions during customer evaluations, demos, and technical deep dives.

Your Skills And Experience

  • 7-12+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with significant exposure to pre-sales, consulting, or solution architecture roles
  • Proven experience engaging enterprise or large-mid-market customers
  • Demonstrated success responding to RFPs and structured procurement processes
  • Broad knowledge across multiple cybersecurity domains, not just a single specialty
  • Strong understanding of:
      • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
      • Hybrid enterprise environments
      • Modern security architecture and Zero Trust principles
      • Ability to create and explain logical, physical, and security architecture diagrams
  • Exceptional ability to communicate with both technical and executive audiences
  • Comfortable challenging assumptions and guiding senior stakeholders
  • Strong written skills for proposals, technical documentation, and executive summaries
  • Prior experience as a Cybersecurity Architect, Consultant, or Senior Sales Engineer
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP, cloud security certifications)
  • Experience working with regulated industries (finance, healthcare, public sector, etc.)
  • Familiarity with large-scale cybersecurity transformation programs

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $119,498-269,280.

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
