Full Job Description
Shape the future of omni-channel advertising at Amazon Ads. As a Principal Tech Business Developer, you'll partner directly with key advertisers and agencies to unlock the full potential of Amazon's advertising capabilities. You'll translate customer needs into product strategy, drive adoption across our entire ads stack, and influence senior leadership decisions that impact the advertising industry.

You'll shape the future of omni-channel and multi-publisher advertising by working directly with key advertisers and agencies to educate them on our capabilities and identify opportunities to grow adoption and revenue across our products and capabilities. You'll work closely with Sales, Go-to-Market, and Product Marketing teams to deliver revenue commitments. You'll also partner with Product and Engineering peers to translate customer needs and opportunities into product roadmaps and drive customer adoption. This role offers unparalleled visibility and career upside, allowing you to influence the entire Amazon ads stack and represent our team in front of senior leadership.

The role requires approximately 25% travel, and you'll work from one of our team hubs, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, direct team, and leadership.

Key job responsibilities

Create and execute business plans focused on demand generation, adoption, and revenue growth, working closely with stakeholders across sales, product, finance, and engineering teams.

Define business goals based on market segmentation and customer insights, ensuring alignment with Amazon's broader advertising objectives.

Partner with Sales, Go-to-Market, Product Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Finance teams to address customer needs, refine product offerings, and achieve revenue targets.

Coordinate with program teams to streamline operational processes and optimize resource allocation, ensuring timely delivery of initiatives.

Prepare and deliver business reviews by regularly communicating roadmap updates, strategic inputs, performance metrics, and financial results to senior leadership, providing data-driven insights that guide decision-making.

Gather and analyze customer feedback from advertisers and agencies to identify pain points, opportunities, and emerging trends.

Work with product and engineering teams to prioritize development efforts, ensuring that product roadmaps align with market needs and customer demands.

Educate advertisers and agencies on Amazon's advertising capabilities, showcasing the value of our solutions through tailored demos and case studies.

Identify expansion opportunities across omni-channel solutions, driving adoption and revenue growth through strategic partnerships and innovative campaigns.

A day in the life

Your day blends strategic leadership, customer engagement, and collaboration. You'll start by analyzing campaign performance data to identify trends and opportunities, then lead meetings with Sales and Product Marketing to design roadshows, trainings, and webinars that showcase our latest advancements. Midday, you'll present roadmap updates and performance metrics to senior leadership, ensuring alignment on strategic priorities. Throughout the week, you'll engage with advertisers and agencies to understand their challenges, translate those insights into actionable recommendations for Product and Engineering teams, and participate in cross-functional offsites to debate and prioritize the most impactful products for the next quarter's roadmap. You'll have the opportunity to work in-person with your team, driving alignment and execution as initiatives move from concept to market success. This role requires approximately 25% travel to meet with key stakeholders and drive adoption.

About the team

You'll join Amazon's Omni-Channel and Multi-Publisher advertising team, building the future of agentic-driven, objective-based advertising products and capabilities. We empower advertisers-regardless of location, vertical, or campaign objective-to create campaigns using only industry-standard creative assets, a timeline, and a budget. These campaigns run across display, audio, video, streaming TV, and devices-even without a creative asset for that media.

We enable campaigns to run across all of Amazon's supply with a single click-across 1P/O&O properties and the vast 3P supply on the Amazon DSP. Our team develops AI-based insights and tools that help advertisers achieve their marketing objectives with improved performance, lower cost, and less friction and complexity.
