Job DescriptionThe Principal Architect is a senior technology and business architecture leader responsible for defining Vuori's enterprise technology strategy, future-state architecture, and business systems roadmap across Retail, Ecommerce, Supply Chain, Planning, Product Development, and Finance.
This role combines deep functional business expertise with technical architecture leadership to ensure technology investments support Vuori's growth, operational excellence, and digital transformation objectives. The Principal Architect partners closely with executive leadership, business stakeholders, product teams, program teams and engineering organizations to design scalable, intelligent, and integrated solutions that enable business capabilities across the enterprise.
What you'll get to do:Enterprise Business & Technology Strategy
- Define and maintain enterprise architecture standards, principles, and long-term technology roadmaps.
- Partner with business executives to align technology strategy with corporate objectives and growth plans.
- Develop future-state business capability models and technology roadmaps across core business functions.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, modernize, and optimize business processes and technology platforms.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on technology investments, business transformation initiatives, and digital innovation.
Functional Domain Leadership
- Provide architecture and strategic guidance across key business domains.
Enterprise Architecture Leadership
- Lead architecture for large-scale transformation programs and enterprise initiatives.
- Establish architectural standards across applications, integrations, data, cloud platforms, and AI solutions.
- Guide solution architects and engineering teams to ensure consistency and scalability across the enterprise.
- Evaluate architectural impacts and dependencies across systems, business processes, and organizational functions.
- Lead architecture review boards and governance processes for major technology initiatives.
Technology Governance & Innovation
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend strategic investments.
- Drive platform modernization initiatives and reduction of technical debt.
- Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, performance, reliability, and scalability requirements.
Program & Delivery Leadership
- Provide executive-level architecture oversight for major enterprise initiatives.
- Ensure technology solutions align with approved business capabilities and architectural standards.
- Identify and mitigate enterprise-wide technology risks.
- Support planning, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational readiness activities.
- Resolve complex business and technical challenges across multiple functions and platforms.
Organizational Leadership
- Mentor architects, solution designers, technical leads, and engineering teams.
- Develop architecture practices and communities of excellence.
- Promote innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
- Influence organizational technology direction and adoption strategies.
- Foster collaboration between business and technology organizations.
QualificationsWho you are: - 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, business systems, technology strategy, or solution architecture.
- Deep functional expertise in one or more business domains including Supply Chain, Retail, Ecommerce, Finance, Planning, Merchandising, or Product Development.
- Experience leading enterprise-wide business transformation initiatives.
- Proven success designing architecture for complex, multi-platform environments.
- Strong understanding of business process design and enterprise operating models.
- Ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive strategic decision-making.
- Experience implementing and integrating enterprise SaaS platforms and cloud technologies.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Experience leading global ERP transformation and rollout programs.
- Experience with AI, machine learning, data science, and intelligent automation initiatives.
- Azure, AWS, or cloud-native architecture experience.
- Experience with modern integration architectures, event-driven design, and API platforms.
- Experience within retail, apparel, consumer products, or omni channel organizations.

The salary range for this role is $160,000 per year - $206,000 per year. This role is bonus eligible.
