  • Drive technical evaluations and gather customer requirements for successful outcomes.
  • Offer technical support for Backend Digital Design Implementation and Signoff.
  • Guide customers on effective utilization of Cadence technologies.
  • Collaborate with R&D to enhance tools and methodologies to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct technical presentations and demos to internal teams to enhance tool software.
  • Encourage and support the adoption of Cadence tools and technologies.
  • Capture best practices from projects to enhance future engagements.

Full Job Description
Job Duties:

  • Utilizing engineering background, provide pre-sales and/or post-sales technical customer support including implementation, training, and maintenance support for Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and semiconductor intellectual property (IP).
  • Drive technical evaluations and benchmarks to success by actively participating in customer discussions and gathering requirements and strategies to win.
  • Provide technical support to Cadence customers in the areas of Backend Digital Design Implementation and Signoff including Place and Route, Design Closure, and timing/power signoff.
  • Guide customers on how to best utilize Cadence technologies to achieve their design goals and meet project schedules.
  • Work closely with R&D (Research & Development) to enhance the tools and methodologies to meet and exceed customer requirements.
  • Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to Production Engineering and R&D teams to enhance the tool software.
  • Drive adoption and proliferation of Cadence tools and technologies.
  • Capture best practices and lessons learned from current evaluations/benchmarks and utilize them to improve efficiency and success rate in next engagements.
  • Some telecommuting permitted.
  • Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum six (6) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related application engineering occupation.
  • Utilize industry-standard Place and Route tools, such as Cadence Innovus, and STA tools for tapeout designs
  • Synthesis, floor planning and signoff closure like crosstalk, Electro Migration, and Physical Verification checks
  • Utilize Clock Tree building for better skew and performance
  • Work on functional Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Timing ECOs for tapeout designs
  • Utilize TCL scripting language for automating regular workflow
  • Design and implementation of design with Machine Learning tools like Cerebrus
  • Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
