Job Summary:

Manages ACI's overall relationship with portfolio of established highly strategic, Tier 1 accounts. Develops deep client relationships, develops and maintains ongoing account strategy, manages deals and contributes to deal strategy for some of ACI largest banking clients. Responsible for identifying and cultivating new opportunities and ensuring ACI brings them to close. Keeps current, up-to-date knowledge on ACI products/enhancements and related client value proposition for assigned accounts, knows market competition, and stays informed of industry trends. Builds and maintains high-quality account plans, accurate client health status and other executive level information on account activity, opportunities, and reliable forecast data.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage ACI's overall relationship with assigned portfolio of large, strategic accounts, with emphasis on developing and continually expanding relationships with key executives (uplevel, down level and horizonal within client org). Customer satisfaction, retention and growth are key requirements and measurements.
  • Develop and then regularly update strategic account plans. Collaborate cross-functionally to positively affect client health, drive revenue growth and enhance overall satisfaction in working with ACI Worldwide.
  • Lead onsite Executive Strategic Business Reviews by crafting client-tailored agendas, engaging key internal stakeholders to support our strategic clients, and ensuring follow-through on post-review action items to ensure ACI is known for follow-through and meeting commitments.
  • Serve as the voice of client and the client's advocate within ACI while equally supporting ACI's goals and internal team members.
  • Manages all necessary administrative aspects of the assigned account portfolio consistent with account management best practices and ACI processes.
  • Keeps current on ACI products/enhancements, value proposition, path to modernization for assigned portfolio, market competition and key industry trends.
  • Understand and adhere to all corporate policies to include but not limited to the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience required for the job:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of demonstrated success managing Tier 1 strategic accounts such as Bank of America, Wells Fargo and other similar. Preferably with deep experience selling payments solutions.
  • Must have a combined minimum experience of 10 years in banking, payments, e-commerce or mobile payments industries.
  • Must have successful sales and client retention record.
  • Excellent executive presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand business and technical solutions, while effectively promoting customer value propositions.
  • Ability to move the sales process to closure.
  • Ability to articulate and professionally present to executive leaders and to respond creatively to meet customer needs.
  • Understanding and knowledge of ACI products/solutions is a plus.
  • Selling technology solutions into multi-national organizations companies, and/or merchant acquirers/processor experience is highly desired.
  • Payments or payments processing related sales experience a plus.
  • Salesforce.com experience preferred.


Work Environment:
  • Remote with client and internal travel expected
  • Travel required - 30%
