Responsibilities

  • Generate status reviews and executive summaries for each Office exit.
  • Lead a cross-functional team in executing the Central Office Exit Strategy.
  • Manage employees and contractors participating in the project.
  • Ensure clear communication and resolution of issues across teams.

Full Job Description
What you'll be doing...

The individual(s) will be responsible for creating and implementation of strategies, plans, and technical support for Wireline Network Engineering Organizations Central Office decommissioning project . Responsibilities will include the following:
  • Using Verizon's Core OSS's (TIRKS, Nautilus, CND, Canvas, etc) to identify what exists within a Central Office.
  • Creating an exit strategy based on the requirements identified which may or may not include keeping existing services but served out of an alternative CO(s).
  • Creating an exit strategy based on the requirements identified which may or may not include the disconnect of all existing services for customers.
  • Creating an exist strategy based on the requirements identified that would have all new services be iEN Directional and served from alternative CO(s).
  • Create and update status review(s) for each Office being exited.
  • Create Executive summaries and read-outs for each Office being exited.
  • Possible Management of Employee(s) and Contractor(s) supporting Central Office Exit Strategy.
  • Lead cross functional team (Engineering-CORE, TCP/RCAT, Access, Network Systems, Operations, NFOD, etc.) driving Central Office Exit Strategy.


You'll need to have
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
  • Engineering disciplines including, but not limited to: IOF, Access, Data.
  • Extensive knowledge of Verizon's OSS's but not limited to: TIRKS, Nautilus, Fiber Services.
  • Effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership of cross functional teams.
  • Work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • To be a technical strategic thought leader as well as a "hands on" implementer.
  • Experience to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Experience with VzT Engineering Inventory & Provisioning systems.

  • Desire to learn new skills and take on new tasks as needed.
  • Extensive Project Management experience.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple initiatives with competing objectives.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.

The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $118,000.00 - $205,000.00.
