Position Summary

The Pricing Analyst II is an experienced professional responsible for independently performing pricing analysis, developing recommendations, and supporting strategic pricing initiatives. This role partners with management and cross-functional teams to evaluate market dynamics, customer value, competitive positioning, cost drivers, and profitability to improve pricing performance across the division or business unit.

Responsibilities
  • Lead or support improvements to pricing processes, systems, dashboards, and reporting tools to improve speed, accuracy, consistency, and margin performance.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define requirements and support deployment of pricing analytics and tools.
  • Conduct product, customer, market, and competitive analyses to recommend floor and ceiling prices based on value, cost, portfolio strategy, and market conditions.
  • Evaluate pricing drivers including volume, cost, competition, channel, segmentation, product lifecycle stage, and profitability.
  • Translate analysis into clear, data-driven pricing recommendations for division, product, sales, or business unit leadership.
  • Support corporate and division pricing initiatives by monitoring compliance, identifying gaps, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Maintain and improve feedback mechanisms that measure pricing effectiveness and inform pricing model refinements.
  • Develop and maintain pricing tools, templates, and guidelines used by product managers, sales teams, and business leaders.
  • Advise on list price structures, standard discounts, rebates, and price increase activities.
  • Analyze exception pricing activity and recommend improvements to guidelines, approval levels, and governance.
  • Deliver pricing performance reports highlighting trends, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
  • Support pricing project management activities, including timelines, stakeholder communication, issue resolution, and follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate pricing data and protect sensitive pricing, customer, and business information.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Data Analytics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in pricing, commercial analytics, finance, marketing analytics, sales operations, business analysis, or a related role.
  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills, including the ability to evaluate complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency; working knowledge of Access, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Salesforce, ERP systems, or other data/query tools preferred.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, cost drivers, business practices, and cost accounting principles.
  • Ability to apply pricing, margin, and profitability concepts to business decisions.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, support projects, and work independently with moderate guidance.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to protect sensitive pricing, customer, and business information.

Competitive Compensation
  • Pay Range: $84915 to $141320 annually
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
