As a Presales Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in turning complex customer requirements into innovative, buildable solutions that enable some of the world's most advanced data center projects.
This is more than an engineering management role. You will lead a talented multidisciplinary team, influence solution strategy from the earliest stages of a project, work directly with customers and industry partners, and help shape how Vertiv delivers the next generation of modular and hybrid data center solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary Presales Engineering team supporting modular and hybrid data center and power room projects.
- Develop and coordinate integrated solutions across electrical, HVAC, architectural, civil, controls, monitoring, and fire protection disciplines.
- Review customer specifications, tender documents, drawings, and technical requirements and translate them into effective design solutions.
- Partner with Sales and customers to develop and present technical concepts and proposals.
- Coordinate technical interfaces with customers, suppliers, manufacturing, and project teams.
- Review engineering deliverables for quality, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements and applicable standards.
- Identify technical risks and develop creative, cost-effective solutions.
- Improve engineering tools, standards, processes, and workflows.
- Mentor and develop engineers, establish performance objectives, and support career growth.
- Support the transition of awarded projects from Presales into detailed design and execution.
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in data centers, critical infrastructure, modular construction, or related industries.
- Experience leading or coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of data center design, systems, and architecture.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, customer requirements, drawings, and applicable codes and standards.
- Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team-development capabilities.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; AutoCAD experience preferred.
