  • Schedule on-site Quarterly Business Reviews with leadership for performance improvement and cost reduction
  • Collaborate on KPIs including carrier delivery performance and costs
  • Align with the premium transportation provider's finance team to correct AETC Data for timely payments

Full Job Description
The Premium Transportation Manager is responsible for managing the Stellantis Premium Transportation Provider to ensure seamless execution of expedited freight into all Stellantis North America Assembly Plants. This role serves as the primary escalation point for expedited freight, effective management of premium transportation KPIs, and billing accuracy.

This role requires cross-functional collaboration, third-party relationship management, quick decision making, attention to detail, and an in-depth understanding of the Stellantis mainframe systems to ensure there is no disruption to production.

Key Responsibilities included but not limited to:
  • Premium Transportation Operations:
    • Serve as the primary escalation point for all premium freight into Stellantis North America Assembly Plants
    • Coordinate cross-functionally with suppliers, customs, logistics, STLA manufacturing plants, and the PTM Provider to ensure seamless execution of expedited freight to protect production
    • Ensure carrier-communicated protect-times are met to avoid production disruption
  • PTM Provider Management:
    • Visit premium transportation provider weekly to maintain a strong relationship and ensure operational concerns are addressed in a timely manner
    • Schedule on-site Quarterly Business Reviews with leadership to ensure operational performance is improving, costs are reducing, and continuous improvement projects are on track
    • Collaborate with the premium transportation provider on KPIs including, but not limited to, carrier delivery performance, costs, and GPS accuracy
  • Billing:
    • Align with the premium transportation provider's finance team to correct AETC Data to ensure payment flows through
    • Utilize ELEEN, and Qlik to review outstanding payables weekly and lead the process to ensure the premium transportation provider is paid in a timely manner
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Leverage PowerBI Data from our premium transportation provider to drive projects that can help drive cost-per-mile (CPM) reduction
    • Investigate opportunities to leverage AI for premium freight risk reduction by identifying delays in shipments proactively
    • Identify opportunities to identify supply risk in advance to reduce overall requirements of premium freight


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in logistics, or supply chain operations
  • Demonstrated experience managing 3PLs, carriers, or premium transportation providers
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and Stellantis Mainframe Screens
  • Ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree (MBA or Supply Chain Management)
  • Experience supporting assembly, powertrain, or stamping plant operations
  • Automotive or manufacturing experience
