Full Job Description
Premium Finance Specialist

This role is preferred hybrid in Chicago or New York but may consider remote.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify clients and prospects who might be candidates for financing by meeting with account teams and office leaders to review renewal and target lists.
  • Generate new premium finance loans while driving the client retention process.
  • Research, analyze and prepare proposals and finance agreements for ARS clients either using software or direct contact with a premium finance company. Provide direction to clients and Aon colleagues regarding premium finance questions and issues.
  • Capture account data from ARS account teams on renewal and prospect clients and work with the premium finance company to resolve appropriate deal structure to optimize the opportunity.
  • Proposal creation and follow-up including design and negotiate insurance premium finance alternatives
  • Maintain various account tracking logs/databases as the need arises. Knowledge of Bridge and BrokerDesktop.
  • Development relationships with local market leaders, AE practice leaders, and regional leaders to drive growth and lead benchmark targets
  • Customer Service, including responding to inquiries from Aon management, producers, insurers and/or clients
  • Support the Aon Premium Finance President in driving financing growth within the assigned Aon Regions
  • Work to resolve outstanding premium finance debts, as vital.
  • Provide premium finance training & educations to Aon account teams


Skills and experience that will lead to success

Required Experience:

  • Knowledge of Financial documents, Insurance industry structure, policies, and issues. Basic knowledge of types of insurance coverages, ability to read binders, and basic understanding of insurance
  • 1-3 years of insurance premium finance experience preferred, or insurance industry experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, including negotiating and development/delivery of clear and concise presentations.
  • Self-motivated, results oriented, able to work in fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time.
  • Experience with Microsoft products including Copilot/ChatGPT
  • Strong Excel skills


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or relatable premium finance or insurance industry work experience

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $90,000 to $105,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
