Full Job Description
Clark Pacific is seeking a Preconstruction / Design Integration Manager to lead and coordinate design-phase and preconstruction efforts for Design-Build projects. This role ensures alignment across design, estimating, procurement, and construction planning to deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and aligned with stakeholder expectations.

This position plays a critical role in managing the design phase, including defining key deliverables, driving design schedules, identifying and resolving risks early, and leading procurement and buyout efforts. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless project progression and a smooth transition into construction.

Competitive Compensation Range: $160,000 - $200,000 annually, depending on experience

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage design-phase planning, cost management, and value engineering efforts
  • Oversee permit processes and coordinate with agencies and owners to secure approvals
  • Manage design deliverables to ensure quality, timeliness, and compliance
  • Monitor design progress to maintain alignment with schedules and budgets
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to define design expectations and milestones
  • Facilitate resolution of RFIs, scope questions, and design issues
  • Identify risks and implement corrective actions to maintain budget and schedule goals
  • Lead value optimization efforts and cost-saving strategies
  • Coordinate specifications, utilities, BIM requirements, and owner vendor integration
  • Develop buyout strategies and support GMP and bid approaches
  • Implement LEAN practices and continuous improvement processes
  • Provide design management training and improve internal processes

External: Owners, Architects, Consultants, Subcontractors, Permit Agencies

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture

Skills & Abilities
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Ability to align design, cost, and schedule objectives
  • Knowledge of building systems including structure, envelope, MEPF, and site work
  • Experience with BIM coordination and design workflows
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
